Chapter 9

*Ned Stark POV*

"LEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOYY JEEENKINS!!!"

Well that just confirmed it.

What in the hell is that kid doing?

And what's with what he was wearing?

Although, Catelyn may be interested in seeing this, that will have to be handled later and I think I just figured out the punishment.

By the Gods, this is not something that the North needs right now.

I will need to speak to the bannermen to keep things quiet.

Luckily he wasn't dressed usually and even though you couldn't tell by looking at him, that voice gave it away, and by the looks from most they knew it.

"Who in the Seven hells is Leeroy Jenkins? I know of no house in the Seven Kingdoms by the name Jenkins."

Hearing King Robert I knew it was time to try to work this out.

I swear as soon as I get my hands on Cyrus, we will see if he pulls something like this again.

I can actually use this to our advantage. I just hope he doesn't show back up here after his little display, if he does this will make things more difficult.

*Cyrus POV*

<Hidden Achievement Found>

<Achievement Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy?>

[Leeeeeeeeeeroy?] : Kill 50 of any species within 15 sec. For every 50 kills above 50, reward will increase.

Instantly I got a mana potion and started spam casting [Arcane Explosion] and started to release [Rough Dynamite] once a min and seeing the count climb the OCD kicked in.

Rather than continue to use those firecrackers I decided to try out the new bombs I used to get my Engineering skill to 150.

[Big Bronze Bomb] : 100 fire damage and incapacitates surviving targets within a 5 yard radius for 2 sec. Unreliable against targets higher than level 44.

After throwing the bomb into the castle, when it went off the only thought I had was, beautiful. Continuing to realease them every chance, while spaming [Arcane Explosion].

Just when the timer was 3 seconds away, not sure if it was my good luck or the enemies bad luck but after throwing so many bombs without discretion cracks around the castle pillars started appearing.

"Oops, maybe that was a little overboard"

Quickly changing forms using his shaman ability [Spirit Wolf] since after causing so many deaths the level is 15.

Using the speed and agility of the wolf, he was able to slip out of the castle.

Upon exiting the castle he was finally able to get back to the front where he was greeted by thousands. King Roberts army he brought along with his fathers men.

He froze.

'Screw it, just act like a dog would.'

Not realizing that even if he did act like a dog he still looked like no other wolf in Westeros.

He was ethereal looking, he had mass and could be injured if hit but looked ghostly.

So to try to pass it off, he sat down and used his back foot to scratch his head, but a spear came flying from nowhere towards him. Leaping to the side he yelled in the direction it came from.

"What the hell, who throws a spear at a nice dog! Im trying to look cute here"

Many turned to the culprit, but again the men just realized a wolf just spoke.

With his enhanced hearing he heard a groan he recognized, slowly turning his head his eyes met the eyes he didn't want to see.

In a very low tone Ned said, "Boy, just you wait".

Cyrus heard it and was stunned, his eyes widened at his realization that his disguise wasn't as good as imagined. He still hadn't realized he was actually talking which is what gave him away to those who knew him.

Then the ground shook with Pyke collapsing in itself, killing any who were still alive within.

'How the hell does he know it's me? Doesn't matter now. Time for damage control."

Quickly leaving Pyke just after the castle fell and hearing the prompt for the timer complete, all his worries and questions dissappeared.

'Now to find somewhere quiet to equip my now available set and distribute points. God I missed this. It just feels right."

Leaving a stunned army, who went berserk after watching a ghostly wolf run off on the waters surface back to the mainland.

The aftermath?

Well let's just say House Greyjoy was no more as well as most of the heads of the other houses that joined under the King of the Iron Islands.

King Robert made Rodrik Harlaw, the brother to Balon Greyjoy thru his marriage to Alannys Greyjoy his sister.

The Harlaws were very different from the usual houses on the Iron Islands.

They were learners, even though their house Sigil was a silver scythe on black. Rodrick was known as Rodrik the Reader due to his passion for books, to the other Ironborn this was strange and unmanly. Ironborn respected Strength.

However they were one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the Iron Islands.

They were against the rebellion from the start and although they didn't stop it, they also didn't support it either.

Yes there were Harlaw bannermen that joined the rebellion, but those were all volunteers.

They weren't ordered to rally under the Greyjoy banner.

But now with the whole of Pyke has been demolished, nothing but a shell with walls. The ceiling had collapsed crushing every man, woman and child.

The only Greyjoy who wasn't accounted for was Yara Greyjoy, the 10 year old was sent to Essos to broker a deal for more Iron and wood needed to build more ships.

Seeing the aftermath all the northerners were happy, except for Ned Stark.

He didn't approve of innocent blood shed. Killing a soldier was one thing, but to kill indiscriminately was another.

A lot of innocent people with no choice were in that castle, he had hoped to use this rebellion to force the Greyjoys to foster their heir with the realms to build relationships with the Iron Islands.

Something that the Greyjoys refused to do. To them there was only one way to get what you want and thats thru the Iron price.

But now with Balon and his last heir Theon Greyjoy were no more. Yara would probably stay in Essos to either gather strength to retake the Iron Islands or to find a new life. Only time will tell.

The only other Greyjoy that had the north, along with the other lords, wary was Euron Greyjoy. Brother to Balon, but due to him being just as mad as the Mad King himself, he was exiled from the Iron Islands.

He hasn't been heard or seen since when his ship headed toward Qarth.

After being questioned repeatedly by the southerners due to the fact that the wolf looked very much like the sigil of Stark, the armies readied to make their way back home.

Ned Stark was the most exhausted out of all the lords due to the friendship he shared with Robert, and the fact Robert didn't get to spill as much blood as he wished his drinking and whoring increased.

Ned was made to sit there and do what he hated most, play the game while watching Robert fondle serving wenches.

Northerners hated games of words. They didn't mind physical games but they still didn't participate in tourneys often.

To them, participating in the tournament shows what you can do.

They much rather their enemies not know their capabilities.

Not that they were at war with the southerners but tensions between the two have always been high.

Wanting to escape this uncomfortable situation, he denied any knowledge of what happened and used the excuse of battle fatigue and perhaps a weapon the Greyjoy had developed that backfired.

He knew it was a very bad excuse, but it did work thanks to the wenches provoking the king forward.

So he wasn't really listening to Ned wholeheartedly.

Seeing his chance, Ned left the tent and swore internally his son was going to be chained to his room for at least until this blows over.

After making it to his tent and letting them know they would be returning north at first light, he wrote a letter to his wife to make sure she was aware of the new development.

The time for giving the boy free reign was over.

They had let him be so as not to push him away, and he seemed responsible enough.

Most issues that arose weren't purposely, he was just too innocent in his thinking.

To him it was normal to have animals follow you. Which would be fine, depending on the animal.

Dog, cats and birds...sure.

Bears, direwolfs and shadowcats... well thats different. Those three alone have killed more northerners and wildling than even the long winters.

Especially shadow cats. Those were vicious large predators.

They where the size of mountain lions, thick black fur with white strips.

They could disembowel a man with one swipe of its claws, cutting through anything not metal.

Their eyes appear to glow during the night and can smell blood from 6 miles away.

Even though they rarely attacked living humans, when they did it was vicious.

They always ate every bit of meat from their prey, even breaking it bones to get the marrow.

Many in the north feared and respected them.

They were even worshipped in ancient times.

Ned had to promise the other Northern lords to explain after they got back to Winterfell before they would let him rest.

That night Ned decided it was time to bring the north together, even though they had planned to do so eventually. His son just threw everything away in one move.

He knew trouble was coming, and thankfully they received word that a long summer was due.

That was all the North had going for them at this point, so far.
