Chapter 5: I will find you

Virin opened his eyes after he felt the warmth of the sun on his face.

When he opened his eyes, he found Regina sleeping while her head was in his chest.

"Tch~," he clicked his tongue.

'I overslept, she must've been on the watch the whole night,' he cursed himself.

After looking at her pale complexion.

If he only knew that the reason behind her pale complexion was mana drain due to the slaughter she has caused.

'Should I let her rest a little more,' he thought.

If he was being honest a beauty like her was way out of his league and finding her sleeping cradled in his chest?

Massaged his ego a little bit. He knew this was the only situation where he could get a bombshell sleeping like that.

'Man I should have asked Neetesh for some charm skill as well, then she might have fallen head over heels for me,' he thought.

He knew he was average looking and 2 days was too little to make another person fall for him.

While the suspension bridge effect would have worked in his favor, she was not a teen but rather a woman.

She might be grateful but not enough to fall in love with him.

Then his gaze went to her big breast in response to which his little brother was rising to give the scene a standing ovation.

"Holy shit!" he yelled as his morning wood was about to poke her.

He then used his hands to suppress it and ended up shaking Regina.

Regina then opened her eyes with a yawn and stretched her body giving a good view of her curves to Virin.

"Good Morning!" she coyly while looking at him with a smile.

"Good... Morning!" replied Virin with a frown.

It felt like her personality took a 180-degree turn.

He shook his head and said, "Let's go, we should start moving early."

"I don't want to spend another night in the wild."

"Mm," she nodded with a mellow smile.

Once they climbed down the tree, Virin started moving but Regina stopped him by pulling his hand.

"What happened?" he asked with curiosity.

"I can't walk bare feet and I'm still sleepy. I was on the night watch and couldn't sleep, carry me," she said while lifting her arms.

"Rrrrriight," he said and then turned around with a grin, offering her to climb his back.

Who would hate to have a such beautiful woman riding them, no pun intended?

Regina also smiled and climbed his back and wrapped her arms and legs like a koala.

She had been observing Virin since he woke up and only acted asleep.

She was happy that he was somewhat interested in her body. Though she had some doubts because he never did anything to her, like forcing himself upon her.

Even though he had enough opportunities.

But now she was quite relieved that he was interested in her physically.

'If I become stronger...,' she was lost in her thoughts about their possible future.

Unaware of what was cooking in Regina's head, Virin pushed forward with every step to reach the city today before nightfall.

He had used all of his willpower yesterday to control his lust for Regina and today it might not be possible to do the same.

On their death march, Regina inquired many personal questions regarding Virin's personal life, from where he belonged, his family and relationships, and his occupation.

Virin cooked up a story that he was an orphan from some bone village who left his birthplace to become an adventurer.

He walked for almost the entire afternoon and finally saw the city walls on the horizon.

"We made it!" he exclaimed joyously.

"Mmm," she mumbled with slight hesitation and in a sorrowful voice.

She wished their adventure never came to an end.

'It might just be a beginning,' she thought to herself with a smile while shoving her face in his back.

Virin felt that she had put her head on his back and he thought she was tired.

"Just a little bit more," he mumbled and started walking briskly towards the city.

He could finally strike off ' saving a Damsel in distress,' from his bucket list.

The city was surrounded by a 5-meter tall wall and had 4 gates, each opening in one of the cardinal directions.

Virin and Regina reached the west gate and had to stand in a line.

Many people were waiting to enter the city and all had to pass through the inspection by the guards in order to collect taxes and ensure the safety of the city.

When Virin reached the check post he was stopped by two guards.

"10 copper for each and show your IDs," said one of the guards.

Before Virin could even utter a word, Regina fished out a gold coin and tossed it at the guard.

The guard caught the coin and after inspecting it, with a grin said, "You may enter."

Virin nodded and entered the city and when he looked around he was happy.

This looked like a beginner city that was bustling with adventures, merchants, and mixed-race citizens.

He had seen a few beasts kins and dwarves walking around.

"So where should I drop you?" he asked Regina.

"You can drop me here, I will contact my acquaintance to come and get me," she mumbled.

Virin nodded and loosened the knot of cloth binding them together.

"Well, it's time to say goodbye, I hope we meet again," he said.

She hugged him tightly and after a few seconds, they separated.

"No need to say Goodbye, I will find you..." she continued to mumble something further under her breath.

Then she gave Virin a beaming smile.

Virin took emotional damage after looking at that beautiful smile and started walking away while thinking MILFs were dangerous for his heart.

When Virin vanished in the crowd, Regina turned around and walked towards the guard post with a sad smile.

Guard turned around and looked at her and questioned, "What do you want!"

She fished out a medallion from her ring and threw it at one of the guards while speaking, "Take me to the Lord of the City, Now!!"

The guard looked at the medallion and started sweating, "House Silva!"

Then one of the guards rushed towards the mansion of the Lord of the City, while another guided her to the city hall for hospitality.

She followed the guard with an annoyed expression, she seriously felt like killing some of them for being too lazy.

While Regina was waiting for the City Lord, Virin asked around and finally found an Inn that was far from being luxurious and offered necessities at a low price.

He paid the rent for a few days with a gold coin, Reina had stuffed in his pocket while they hugged each other.

The rent was only 3 copper coins, so the owner was delighted to find a customer like Virin and even offered him dinner for the night.

After having dinner, Virin went to his room.

It had basic furniture like a slightly huge bed to be called a single bed and two chairs.

It was nothing to write home about, but it was comfortable.

Then he sat on the bed and after a deep breath muttered, "Moment of truth!"

Soon he pointed his storage ring toward the ground and emptied its content.

The 'treasure' came flooding out of the storage.

He immediately sent all the objects back in the storage which had any use other than their monetary value.

Then what was left outside was a few pieces of jewelry, some loose coins, and two pouches of coins.

He never collected those pouches so he guessed it was the property of the old Knight which was already stored when he got the ring.

He put the jewelry back while putting it in a different slot.

His storage needed to be seriously arranged in categories, he never liked mess everything should be in order.

Then he started counting the coins.

After half an hour, his room was filled with a joyous laugh.

He had 650 gold coins while 437 silver coins and several changes of copper he didn't even wish to count.

"Hahaha, with this much money I can laze around for months," he mumbled to himself.

'But first I need to make the most important investment to know more about this world,' he thought inwardly as he separated gold coins in the batch of 100s.

'Yes, I need to buy a beautiful slave!' he thought with a grin.
