Chapter 15: Run away 1

No I can't get married, I have a life that I can't walk out of, what happens to my mum? How do I tell my aunt about this?. I need to run away from here. At least I know when I leave no one will be able to find me besides they only know me as Elsa no one knows Becca Anderson. I thought to myself.

Alex walked out of the room he entered before with a document in his hands, he sat on the sofa opposite to mine

"Since you already signed the marriage contract it means we're legally married. I'm sure you must have read the terms and conditions in being my wife. It's just a year before we get divorced, you'd be given a compensation after this trash. There's one more document you've not signed, and that's the prenopetal agreement, I asked my attorney to get it for me, he's supposed to be here but he's stucked at Chicago I'll be the one to give you that document. So here sign this!". He dropped the document on the table with a pen.

I looked at the document on the table, heaven knows how I used my last strength to push back the tears that welled up in my eyes. "Is there no way out of this?". I had to ask cause this cannot be happening to me, this is not what I signed up for. "If there was a way I would be the first to leave!" He spoke coldly with a yawn as if bored at my words.

"What is he saying" I thought to myself as i picked the document and signed it then gave it back to him. "Now there are rules to this marriage, 1: Don't touch my stuff's, Don't get involved in my life or anything I do, you are to excort me to any event i attend to no matter how busy you are, and lastly, Don't fall in love with me. He said with a serious face. "Our engagement party is in two weeks this is a credit card to whatever you need, you'll get  the necessary information about the event from my mum!". He added as he stretched his hand muscles

"Go get changed you can't sleep in that dress your bath and your night wear is ready!". He walked out of the room with the document in his hands. I was speechless at his words indeed I was married. This was it, my Dad sold me out to strangers I knew nothing about. I thought the world had evolved to a position were young adults make their decisions themselves but I guess I was wrong.

I walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror as I studied my face that had suddenly become pale. My makeup was ruined and the mascara used on my eyes washed down leaving a long black ugly line on my face cause of the cry I cried before. My eyes were still red and swollen, I was looking like a monser.
