Emma’s POV
I placed my head in my hands and sobbed.
“Hey, baby, no,” Logan said and pulled me to him. “It’s going to be okay, Emma. I promise. We will fight it again and we will win.”
I wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my head into his chest. I took a deep breath, letting his scent relax me.
“Why does she have to go through it again, Logan?” I cried out. “I wish that I could…”
I stopped talking because an idea came to me.
What if I could? What if I could take Sophia's darkness? What if my daughter didn’t have to go through it again?
“I know, Emma,” Logan sighed. “We are all wishing the same. I wish I could go through it instead of her, but we can’t, baby. We can only be there for her.”
They could be there for her, but maybe I could take it from her.
I was an elemental just like she was. I had magic just like she did. Others couldn't take it from her because they didn’t have magic.
