Ch. 12 Part 2
" Brother Yan I brought you these firewoods and some eggs and vegetables.... you just separated from the family so you will need them. You haven't planted any vegetables or grains yet, I'll do what I can to help you before you start farming yours.... you can pick vegetables from my farm for the mean time " Dahu said to him as he placed the stuffs he brought on the floor.... he left home with worry but seeing them now he knew they didn't need his help. He had already heard the rumors going about in the village that YanZhi was with wealth but he didn't put it in mind thinking of it as the villagers gossips as usual... but now he couldn't help but think the rumors were true, but as a friend he still plans on doing what little he can help YanZhi with.
" ah brother Dahu these firewoods are too many and the eggs and vegetables, Xiong Gong has already chop down some trees for firewood so take them back to use yourself... we can't accept these " Xiao Ling declined in a good way thinking Dahu's family wasn't well off so they needed the things he brought them more than them.
" little brother Ling how can I carry these back when I just got here, ah I'm tired so you better keep them... I can't carry them back again " Dahu said refusing to take them back
" I thank brother Dahu for his thoughtfulness... since brother Dahu has helped us why don't we invite you and your wife to have dinner here today, I won't take no for an answer unless I won't come to you when I need help in the future " YanZhi thanked him and had Yue take the stuffs to the kitchen.
" yes, Xiong Gong Is right... brother Dahu let us express our gratitude to you by inviting you to dinner. " Xiao Ling added making it hard for Dahu to refute..... Dahu scratch the back of his head troubled
" okay I'll go home now and tell my wife not to cook dinner today.... we'll drop by later " he assured
" ah bring Muhan along " Xiao Ling requested
" Hm " Dahu nodded before excusing himself and walking out.
Xiao Ling brought out the set of learning materials and placed them on the table beside YanZhi, he took a small piece of wood and sharpened it's mouth with a knife shaping it like the mouth of a pencil. He spread out a paper cleanly as Yue helped him grind the ink.... YanZhi watched him silently as Xiao Ling sketched the plans for the shop using the improvised pencil he made. When he was done sketching he set the paper aside for the ink to dry and took another paper to sketch the plans for the house and martial arts school.... he sketched some modern chairs and tables design for the shop and kitchen cabinets and cardboards on another paper. After he sketched some modern design bed, wardrobes, dinning table and chairs, couches and designed a Kang. All the plans he sketched for the house and school to the chairs and tables where that of modern world, except the martial arts school which was designed in both modern and Yanzhi's original world. He explained all the designs to YanZhi after he was done and the ink was dried which made YanZhi looked at the plans and designs intrigued..
" little wife the things from your world are really wonderful and marvelous... they're far better than what is seen here, and also on par with things in the higher planes " YanZhi praised making Xiao Ling blushed.
" Xiong Gong can you use qi to freeze water and turn it into ice? " Xiao Ling asked since some players he knew have skills that can turn water into ice... he was thinking of selling juice in his restaurant.
" Yes... qi can be used to do a lot of things " YanZhi arched his brows seeing Xiao Ling smiled like a villain
" then can you craft an item which can be used to make ice? " he asked again
" yes.... but it'll still need to be infused with qi to work. Do you want to craft something like that? " YanZhi strangely asked him
" yes! can the crystals from the dungeon be used to craft an item like that? " he hurriedly asked holding unto YanZhi's hands pleadingly.
" yes I can use that but...... I need a crafting material which can provide cooling to the item. Well little wife you're in luck.... among the herbs I plucked from your space there are a bunch of herbs which are used to refine cooling pills, I'll use them " YanZhi smiled looking at how happy Xiao Ling was. Xiao Ling took two more papers and sketched designs for Fridges in different shapes and sizes and ice cubes making machines which will now be used by infusing qi..... he gave the designs to YanZhi to check them.
" little wife when do you need them? and how many of these things do you need? " YanZhi asked
" it'll be great if I get them before the renovations for he shop is done and I need five each for now.... six for the shop and four for home use all in big sizes. " Xiao Ling replied excitedly
" hmm okay.... it'll take three days to make all ten. I'll start the day after tomorrow, we'll be heading to the county tomorrow so can only start after we're back. " YanZhi informed
" Hm... by the way Xiong Gong where are you going to craft? there's no smithy here! " Xiao Ling asked in panic when he remembered that they didn't own a smithy..... originally the house plans he sketched had a workshop for both pill refining and crafting but now that they needed those at the moment Xiao felt lost lamenting Spring and Autumn, YanZhi laughed at his anxious looking face before patting his head
" I made a crafting work place in a cave on the mountain along with a pill refining work place.... didn't you see the caves in my sanctuary? where do you think I refined the pills I sell to doctor Shi.... everything's set, there's a furnace and all things needed for crafting and there's a cauldron for refining all that is left is for me to start infusing my qi to help refine items. " YanZhi assured him making him regain back his composure
" ahh... I got excited so I didn't think about that. The Fridges and ice making items can be auction too when we open the auction house... " Xiao Ling said and YanZhi nodded.
They kept conversing and planning and by the time they knew it the sky had started turning dark and time to prepare dinner, YanZhi neatly packed up the designs Xiao Ling sketched and put them into his space. Xiao Ling and Yue went to the kitchen to prepare dinner leaving YanZhi to clean the mess Xiao Ling made on the table... Yue took the duck and fish out to deal with it while Xiao Ling started to prepare the dishes. When the sky darkened completely YanZhi opened the door when there was a knock on it, he welcomed Dahu and his family into the house and had them take their seats as Xiao Ling was preparing the last dish which was the duck. Dahu's wife Zhao Fang excused herself to assist in the kitchen when YanZhi and Dahu started chatting.
"wow the kitchen is filled with sweet aromas.. brother Ling what can I help you with? " Zhao Fang asked Xiao Ling enthusiastically as she walked into the kitchen.
" no, no, no.... aunty Zhao you're my guest how can I make you work?! please go and take a seat I'm already even done. " Xiao Ling hurriedly and politely refused her help as he doesn't like people entering the kitchen however they like and he didn't have much trust with her nor were their relationship friendly, he had Yue take her back to the front yard... he started to serve the dishes on the table with Yue when they were done. The dishes he prepared where whole duck soup, pork fried rice, crispy fried fish, sweat and sour pork, Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce and Szechuan dry-fried green beans...
The sight of the dishes was mouth watering to Dahu and his family, they were eager to try everything on the table but because it wasn't their home and they were guest at someone's home they had to hold themselves. Everyone started to clip with their chopsticks and started swallowing without even chewing especially Zhao Fang and Muhan.... but Yue and Dahu kept restrains on themselves and as for YanZhi he was eating as graceful as always.
" Little wife what is this? " YanZhi asked pointing at the fried rice.
" it's called fried rice... I cooked the rice before frying it with soy sauce, vegetables and green beans " Xiao Ling answered
" it's delicious.... all your crafts are delicious " YanZhi complimented making him shy
" yes... brother Yan is right, little brother Ling's crafts are delicious " Dahu added
" thank you... eat more " Xiao Ling urged them. All the dishes on the table was cleared clean before everyone put down their chopsticks... Xiao Ling and Yue started to clean the table and pack the empty dishes back to the kitchen while Zhao Fang and Muhan pat their bellies in satisfactory. Dahu thanked them for the dinner and left not wanting to disturb them any longer... YanZhi, Xiao Ling and Yue left the house after them and went up the went to cultivate for the night.

At the village head's house
Since the village head came back from the county and told his family what went on when they went to buy the mountain, the family of eight had been thinking of which way to see YanZhi from now one. They knew they couldn't retreat him the same way as before and needed to scurry favors with him.... Lu Lixin and Lu Shuchang made up their minds in wanting to worship YanZhi as their master so they decided to inform their father after they had their dinner
" Father we want to worship brother Yan as our master, we want to learn martial arts from him " Lixin said to the village head making him sneer
" you think it's easy to get a master? just because you decided to think so he'd just agree? " he asked them
" family head we won't know until they try and ask him.... how about they go and ask him early tomorrow morning, you should pick some eggs from the chicken coop and some vegetables and take it to him. We don't have money to pay for a master but those will show our sincerity to him " their mother advised
" okay, there's nothing to loose from trying. Whether he accepts you or not is all up to him, we'll know that tomorrow " the village head agreed to their wishes pretending not to care but in his heart he was praying to Buddha to soften YanZhi's heart so he accepts his sons.
" father me too, I want to learn too. Sister Yue looked so cool giving off strong aura... father I want to be like her " his daughter said with teary eyes as his ger also looked at him with anticipation
" okay fine all of you can go, if only you can ensure the hardship of training... not everyone takes ger and women as apprentice and disciples but since YanZhi does you can try your luck. " the entire family were under panic in anticipation of tomorrow's agenda making them all toss on bed and couldn't sleep, only the granddaughter was able to sleep calmly without worries like the grown-ups.
