Adel’s POV.
“Give her some space you big oaf,” a voice called through the fog.
It was a dense fog in a myriad of colors, my mind tried to sort through the chaos as I navigated through the scenes unfolding in front of me.
“Is it working?” A voice so familiar to me, a voice that warmed my soul pulled me closer to the light that started to glow ahead of me.
“Give it time, Nix.” Another voice begged my mate.
A deep ache blossomed in my chest. I could feel Nix’s desperation echoing in our bond, like a burn that couldn’t be soothed. I pushed harder against the fog trying to reach my mate.
“Keep talking to her… I think it’s working.”
“My love…” Nix’s voice reached me in a whisper, so close I could feel his breath against my face. “I need you to come back to me, my love. I know it’s hard. I need you to open your beautiful eyes, my heart. Please.”
