a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Well, as I mentioned, I recently moved here from California. I grew up in a small town, but I've always been drawn to the excitement of the big city," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"And what brings you to New York?" Jack asked, his blue eyes twinkling with amusement.

"I'm an artist, and I'm hoping to make a name for myself in the art scene here," Emma replied, her heart racing as Jack leaned forward, his gaze fixed on hers.

"An artist, huh? I'm intrigued," he said, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

They talked for a while longer, with Jack asking her about her art, her life and her goals. Emma felt her nerves slowly dissipating as they talked, and she found herself laughing and flirting with him easily.
