Chapter 21; I don't know uncle Zhou

He thought of the handgun's serial number, he took his mobile phone out of his trouser pocket and gazed at the picture of the serial number before making a phone call.

After two rings, it was picked up, "Hello..." A cold and low magnetic voice sounded from the other end.

"Uncle Lai Zhou I need your help." He politely stated as he looked at the serial number.

" Yes.. what do you need Lai JiCheng?" he inquired as he stood up and walked over to the French window that was at the back of his working desk.

He was working in the State House and he was still in his office, his office was situated on the 26th floor and it interfaced the streets across the building.

He was wearing a green military uniform with its insignia that showed how powerful and top of the ranking he was.

"I want you to look into this serial number of a handgun, HI0078..." He read out the serial number, his uncle has access to things other officers couldn't and all kinds of secrets.

Lai Zhou sat down at the computer and began looking into it, after a few minutes, it displayed the owner's details.

"Owner of the gun; Xie Mo.."

"Ranking; Major General.."

"Military Camp station; West Gate"

" Do you want me to continue?" He inquired curiously.

" Uncle I think this gun isn't the same as the one that's recorded there, it looks like a remodel of the real one and this one is given a bit of a personal touch.." he explained his point.

" Send me the picture on WhatsApp, I will look at it." He requested and didn't hang up but waited for the picture.

" Ding..." He opened his handphone and peeked at the picture comparing the two pictures, they did seem to differ from each other but at a tiny specter.

He lightly frowned, "they seem to differ a little bit, but everything else is the same." He replied.

"Did the Military Head office accept Officers remodeling their guns?" He curiously inquired, 'what if it wasn't?'

"I don't know Lai JiCheng, that will need time to work on it, but isn't this the woman you just married hurriedly without consulting, now why are you investigating her behind her back?" Lai Zhou sarcastically remarked teasing his nephew.

" I don't know Uncle Zhou but I feel this Xie Mo is totally different from the past, it's as if these two people are totally different from each other." He frowned lightly remembering how she walked out of the house in a matter of fact, if it was the past Xie Mo, she would have at least tried to resolve the misunderstanding.

"All right, I will pay you a visit tomorrow and see her." He suggested after all he wasn't someone to judge things or have conclusions without seeing things with his own eyes.

"She isn't here, she walked out on me when my mom and cousin came over to visit, she had even shot a bullet against mom, so I think something might be wrong somewhere." He explained as he frowned in annoyance.

" Hehehe.. you can't even stop her?" He laughed sarcastically as if he was enjoying his misery.

" She is suddenly stronger than me, the few times I fought with her I thought I was winning against her but today she suddenly became explosive and didn't hide it anymore, I could tell she is way stronger than me, but since when? How?" He couldn't figure it out.

" All right, how about the Camp, I can see her there... " He spoke out.

" She took a one-month leave without consulting anyone, she even said 'they can fire her if they wanted to.." Lai JiCheng was having a bad mood and had a terrible evening.

" Hahahahaha... " What else could he do apart from laughing?

"Uncle, it's a no laughing matter." Lai JiCheng's expression darkened as if some storm was brewing.

"Let's talk again tomorrow.." he hung up the phone call as Lai JiCheng gazed at his darkened screen display, he lightly frowned as he placed the phone down on the table.

He began going through the files trying to comprehend whatever was going on with Xie Mo.

Lai Zhou settled down as he dialed a private number, "Hello.." his voice echoed from the other side of the phone call.

"I want you to gather all the information about Xie Mo and all the missions and activities she undertook recently. " After that order, he hanged the phone call.
