Chapter 9; Miss, our men were caught...

Lai JiCheng couldn't sit still so he walked out of the mansion and went down to the parking lot and got into his car and drove toward the court.

Twenty minutes later the police car arrived at the police station and they alighted as she was led into the courtroom and stood there in jury to vow an oath.

"I Xie Mo should be charged against the words I speak out from my mouth and whatever I say shall be and should be truth and nothing but the truth." After that oath, she awaited to hear her charges.

" Miss Xie Mo, dated on 15th last night at 11 pm you intentionally injured your house maid therefore you are hereby being charged for intentional assault against your housemaid." The secretary read out the charges as he spoke out to the defendant and respondent.

Lawyer Wang walked in and settled down on a seat at her side, but everyone knew Lawyer Wang was a renowned lawyer who never lost any cases.

Lai Jicheng also arrived and sat down to hear on the case just behind Lawyer Wang and was same surprised as everyone to see him as her lawyer.

'Who was she that she was this capable of summoning Lawyer Wang', he lightly frowned.

"I'm innocent your honor..." Her cold voice was brutally rejected as she stood there unperturbed, lazily she raised her earlier bowed head while her eyebrows curved upwards.

"Objection your honor, my client here acted in the line of self-defense as the maid was walking aimlessly with the hot pot of water." Lawyer Wang refuted their claims as he went on passing his arguments.

The Judge turned to face the maid who was sitting there with her lawyer.

"Objection your honor, my client here was carrying the hot pot of water going to serve her esteemed employees." Lawyer Tang refuted their claims as he defended her.

"Objection your honor.." Lawyer Wang stood up refuting his claims.

" Objection overruled." The jury spoke out.

"If we look at the CCTV footage here, you could tell the maid had bad intentions when she walked across with the hotpot of hot water." Saying so he passed the flash drive with CCTV footage videos for everyone to watch.

Putting the video that had captured her on the screen, showing how she had intentionally tripped her leg to look like she was accidentally stumbling.

The maid peeked at the video coverages in horror as Lawyer Tang felt flustered, he thought she was honest and it was a sure bet he would win this case, but things overturned.

" You are hereby ruled innocent, they should pay a fine of one million or three years in jail, the case is dismissed and the court is adjourned." The judge finished the case as he walked away followed by his people.

Xie Mo walked down from the oath center and approached her Lawyer.

She shook his hand lightly as she walked away, Lai Jicheng was in a distance watching her every move, he lightly frowned his entire face wrinkled up, he knew Xie Mo was a kind and gentle woman, and hardly got involved in anything illegal activities so how did she get to know Lawyer Wang.

Arriving outside at the car park she found her personal assistant/bodyguard waiting for her, "Mu Xi, get rid of that lawyer, he is a nuisance." Her orders were always taken seriously and completed to the last bit.

Lawyer Wang turned pale, he knew she was ruthless but it was still hard getting accustomed to her heartless ways of clearing everyone who crossed her.

"And you better do a clean job, I don't have any extra energy to expand and clean up any mess..." Which meant if anything got discovered he will have to take charge and be responsible.

"Miss our men were caught while transporting Opium to Tangerine City in Hengxiyi Country." Mu Xi reported this was what had brought him here, he spoke out noticing they were at a safer distance.

Hengxiyi country was on the border with Jingyi Country, they were neighbors and it was just several hours' drive before arriving.
