#Chapter1
/"She's been up there for 2 hours now long does she need to get ready for a movie night /"
Montana who used the extra time to simply paint her nails looked up at me. Kim finally bounced down the stairs /" it's not just a movie night Lexi it's the night where everyone has their first impressions and if I don't look just right, they will talk about forever/"
Not quite sure who gave her that idea if I'm being honest. Tonight, was the first Social night of the year.
I had just moved into our flat the other day and tonight they were hosting a night where we all camped outside watching a movie on their big screen. No doubt everyone was going to show up in Hope's to make friends before all the fresher's events start.
Kimberly dressed to impress in her tight black dress and sneakers. Myself and Tana dressed slightly more casual in Jeans and dressy tops.
/" I don't think out of all of us I'm the best driver guys can someone else take the wheel. I only passed last month/" I said nervously sitting behind the wheel.
My dad wanted me to have a car at uni because he said it would be cheaper than paying for all those bus tickets and ubers. He bought me and my closest cousin a car.
My cousin who lived at home with me decided to go to Manchester uni whilst I opted for going to London.
Kimberly shook her head and Montana didn't even make eye contact with me. Brilliant.
I carefully pulled out of our buildings car park and started our drive to the next campus where the movie was going to be held.
/" tana I saw some of the boys last night and let me tell you they are so hot/" Kimberly fanned herself from the back. Kim's brother is also at our uni and she went to drop off some stuff for him yesterday.
/" Kim, I'm not here for boys,/" Tana said, which made me think that she could be lesbian.
Kim paused before asking /" girls then/" tana burst out laughing after a few tense moments. /" no, I'm not a lesbian I'm here to study and make friends not to stress about boys /"
Obviously, none of us has anything against lesbians and we would never judge someone if they like girls.
/" how about you Lexi /" they both turned to me. Am I thinking about boys? I mean I am a girl and boys are going to be on my mind.
Kim was slightly more interested when I didn't rush to say anything.
/"no fucking way /" she practically screamed. Thank God we were at a stop light.
Was I that obvious.
Truth is I have never had a boyfriend. Yes, I'd gone out with boys but never to the point where I was in a relationship. Dad was strict with having no boys and I respected him.
/"you've never had a boyfriend/" now even tana was fucking surprised.
I shook my head. They seemed to stay quiet.
/"wow/"
I don't see what the big deal is.
/"so, I guess that means that you're still a virgin or have you done other stuff /" Kim pressed on.
There have been many times where I have been put into a situation where I could give it to someone, but it just was never the right time or the right person.
Kyle was the only person I ever thought I could actually be with. Kyle was a sweet guy who I had known for a few years from our parents being friends. But with his past for cheating on girls, I just didn't see myself trusting him.
/" I've done some stuff but nothing crazy,/" I told them turning into the parking area. I wasn't surprised when there were loads of cars already parked and people chatting with each other.
Thankfully the girl's attention was no longer on me and my lack of experience with boys it was now on everyone else. /" please tell your dad I'm thankful he got you such a nice car/" Kim said poking her head through the console before laughing as she got out of the car.
/" Don't worry about the boy stuff Lexi. I wish I waited too/" Tana followed after Kim giving me a few moments to myself. I'm not sad I haven't done it yet, but I did feel like I'll be left out on a lot of things.
I caught up to the girls as we all walked in. A group of 4 girls were walking inside with us introducing themselves.
When we entered there were so many students already sitting around. I sat in between tana and Kim near the middle. We chatted quietly to each other as we watched everyone come in.
/" who knew Asian boys were so cute,/" Kim said staring over a group of boys who sat near the front. Asian boys are coming into their prime these days. Being a fellow Asian girl, I can really appreciate it. I'm only half Filipino so I can't really say much.
It took a long time before everyone was finally settled and the movie could start.
5 minutes in a pair of girls stopped at the end of our row. They were pretty adamant on sitting on this row and as they came to a stop in front of tana we realised why. Next to Tana sat a trio of guys.
/"do you mind moving up,/" one of the girls asked us. This didn't really make any sense because the row was full on our side. They could sit on the row below us and still be close.
Kimberly jumped to the gun. /"we can't, as you can see/" the redhead glared at Kim who seemed unfazed by her stare.
/"OI girls, you're blocking the screen/" someone called from behind us. Other people pitched in shouting a bunch of things at them. Normally I would feel sorry for them but they kind of brought this upon themselves.
The guys beside tana whispered to each other /" look we will move up two, there's no problem/" they all moved up a seat and let the girls sit next to them. The girls looked happy, but they still were glaring over at us.
The redhead was very keen on talking to one of the guys. I couldn't quite see him but if she was that desperate, he must have been really something.
Multiple times throughout the movie I had to calm down Kimberly who was finding it very difficult to ignore the girls chatting loudly, giggling as they stared at us.
Sooner or later I was going to lose my cool.
