The Intricacies of Mana and the World of Tech and mana

As Alex finishes his sentence, Leo interjects with a curious question, "What about demons? Do they possess the ability to wield Mana?" Alex ponders for a moment before responding, "Given the absence of any demonic presence, it's unlikely. Additionally, demons who possess the capacity to harness Mana are commonly referred to as 'monsters'."

The realm of demons and monsters is a fascinating one, characterized by a unique blend of similarities and differences between the two entities. While demons and monsters may seem distinct at first glance, they are, in fact, closely intertwined. Interestingly, both demons and monsters appeared suddenly in history after a pivotal event that led to the extinction of fairies and dwarfs. However, there is a crucial distinction between the two groups, as demons possess the innate ability to use magic without relying on mana, just like fairies, whereas monsters rely on mana and use it like humans. For instance, Anna, who is a monster, uses mana to channel her magical abilities. This distinction adds an intriguing layer to the fascinating world of demons and monsters.

Alex is veritable on fairies, dwarfs, and the ancient world, thanks to his avid reading of the relic. Notably, even those as well-read as Maya, Linda, and even King are not privy to this knowledge. Using his extraordinary mana, Alex seals underground tunnels to keep this world of wonder and magic hidden from the rest of humanity. Nevertheless, certain parts of his that he tells Leo about legendary heroes and malevolent demons have been made known to the public.

In ancient times, the technological advancements of the human world far exceeded those of Earth, the planet from which Alex hailed. However, as the knowledge of mana spread, some human nations made the shift from technology to magic, while others opted to incorporate both, and some remained steadfast in their belief in technology. Seven human nations (or kingdoms) exist in this world, each with its unique approach to magic and technology.

The Dharma Kingdom is a nation that has chosen to primarily rely on magic, although they still use technology in certain cases. The Aranthia Kingdom, on the other hand, utilizes magic and technology in equal measure and is a fierce enemy of the Dharma Kingdom. It is also home to the main church that holds the key to the barrier.

The Drakoria Kingdom has decided to rely solely on magic and mana, and it is situated nearby the Dharma Kingdom. Additionally, the city of the dead can be found within its borders. The Celestia Kingdom, meanwhile, is a realm that relies solely on magic, and it is ruled by Queen Linda's father.

The Far North Kingdom has embraced both magic and technology equally, and it is ruled by Empress Maya. Shadowmere is another nation that utilizes both magic and technology, while Eldridia is the only kingdom that has chosen to rely solely on technology and not incorporate magic or mana into their way of life.

Leo lets out a hearty chuckle and responds, "It seems you may have misunderstood me earlier, my friend. I am interested in your thoughts on the subject of mana, not your knowledge of the book. However, I am willing to give you another opportunity to express yourself." Alex's demeanor suddenly changes, as if puzzled by the unexpected challenge. He takes a moment to collect his thoughts and then proceeds, "Well, if I had to hazard a guess, I would say that a momentous event must have occurred, triggering the sudden flow of spiritual energy known as mana throughout our world. This revelation would have been a great surprise to the people as in ancient times, no one knows about the concept of mana."
