Chapter 9: A Little Fumble

Scott hated humans, they’re dangerous creatures that knew how to destroy anything that wasn’t “normal” for their standards. He liked to avoid them when he had the opportunity and didn’t like crowds of humans. More danger whenever he was surrounded by humans.

Or at least, that’s what he liked to keep telling himself. He didn’t let himself forget the past when he was around the Shadow Fang pack. He didn’t let himself forget the past when he was around humans at work. Scott especially didn’t let himself forget about the past whenever he found himself in Lance’s presence. So when Scott found himself hand-delivering the books to Lance, it was like everything he’d been telling himself just went out the window.
