#Chapter56
Ending
I screamed in exasperation as I redid my hair for the umpteenth time. I had to be at the rehearsal dinner in an hour and my hair refused to cooperate.
/"Screw this./" I muttered finally as let it fall loose around my shoulders.
I heard the front door open. Probably my father here to pick me up.
/"I'm coming dad!/" I called out as I hurriedly made my way outside.
I cursed under my breath as I almost tripped over my heels.
/"How do I look?/" I asked while twirling around dramatically for my father to see.
/"Lovely./" Came the response.
Wait a minute.
That voice.
It didn't belong to my father.
I couldn't have forgotten that voice in a million years.
/"W-Will?/" I stuttered in disbelief.
My eyes locked with his familiar grey ones.
