The Stevens' request

Hearing the other party's words, Airon's heart suddenly jumped with shock. Could it be that the Saviors appeared?

"Against whom?" Airon was more interested this time, waiting for the other party's answer.

"A group of people at our base."

Stevens then explained as if he had started a conversation.

After listening to the other party's explanation, Airon realized he had misunderstood. It turned out that it was not the Saviors, but some people next to the group of these people.

The Oceanside community is now controlled by a guy named Vicenzo. This man uses the hostages to threaten Stevens and the other people to work for him. Even to the point of murdering them if they don't obey him, but the most normal thing is that they were beaten or kicked, and right now everyone is suffering because of them.

Today it was Stevens' turn to be on duty at the guard post, when he saw this group of outsiders, his instinctive reaction was to kick them out, then suddenly he thought, why not rely on this group to make a counterattack against his enemies?

It has been over a year since the end of the world, and this is the first time that other survivors appear here, he thinks that Vicenzo had not thought of something like this, otherwise he would not have left only two people on the bridge.

So Stevens realized that this was an opportunity, an opportunity that might never come again if missed.

After hearing the cause and effect of this incident, Airon began to think about whether it was worth doing, and the other party couldn't stand the silence when he saw that Airon had been silent for a long time.

"We have plenty of supplies. We have all kinds of dried fish and sea salt. We don't need to worry about food, so we could offer you many products."

Airon ignored the other side, calculating the gains and losses of this affair in silence, analyzing every little detail and after a while he asked, "How should I know that you are the good guy and the invaders are the bad guys? What about my people if this is a trap?"

Stevens seemed to understand something and became more and more anxious. And when he heard the question, he answered without hesitation, "I can call some of Stevens' people first. There aren't many of them. When your people go into hiding, you can ask them personally anything you want."

"How can I be sure that whoever you call is not your accomplice? A lot of things could go wrong in this matter, I don't know the truth and you can say whatever you want."

Stevens was already in a cold sweat, and the more he thought about it, the more he felt this was an opportunity, but the other party still didn't believe his words, and he too the attitude changed as time went on, getting more and more irritable.

"Then how can I make you believe me, everything I said is true!"

"You told me that there were no more than ten people on the enemy side? If so, why didn't you resist? Mmm, from your words I can speculate that there are dozens of people from your group..."

"Those bastards didn't give us any chance of resistance at all. They found high ground next to our settlement, and sent two people to our camp every day to observe our work. If we have any changes that would endanger their leadership, they would threaten to kill our families. That's why I ask for your help, now they don't know of your existence, this is an opportunity to catch them off guard and without them paying attention."

"Aren't you afraid that we are bad people? If we take care of your shelter, we will continue to threaten them with hostages, what will happen by then?"

Stevens' expression became uncomfortable, he hadn't really thought about this question before, but then he showed a helpless look. "What can I do? I can only hope and pray that they're not that kind of people. If so, we might live a little better in this life full of dead shit."

Looking at the expression on the other party's face, it didn't look like he is lying, Airon is also analyzing in his mind the words Stevens said, judging from the women in Oceanside, it seems that they were not the kind of people who did physical abuse to other survivors before the Saviors' attack.

But Negan still chose to kill all the other men, and gradually a thought arose, maybe Oceanside was ruled by a group of bad guys at first, maybe it was overthrown by other people, and when that distrust of the survivors was awakened in their lives they resisted in the face of the Saviors, but failed.

In the end it doesn't matter who killed this group of people, their existence made the rest of the Oceanside group extremely xenophobic, so when Rick, subsequently of Tara, had come to that shelter, they refused to fight Negan.

This explanation is actually tenable. Thinking about this, Airon will let Stevens call those supposed enemies, but before agreeing, he still had to ask them about their situation.

"Let me know about your situation first, how many people are there, how is your firepower? Tell me everything clearly."

Seeing that this person showed signs of wanting to help him, Stevens did not dare to delay and briefly presented his situation, and Airon also asked for more important information.

The conversation lasted more than ten minutes,

Airon then called the team members together to begin discussing the matter. After the team members heard the other party's request, they felt it was outrageous. Many people raised objections, and Merle's thoughts were basically the same as at the beginning.

"If I may speak, I feel that this man does not have good intentions. At first he wanted nothing to do with us, but all of a sudden, he can have us help him. No matter which way we look at it, this feels rotten."

"No matter their numbers, if we position ourselves well there will be no force that will outnumber us. We have eliminated larger groups, plus this will serve as experience for new recruits."

"Since you think that way, we will kill everyone who wants to hurt us. As long as the battle plan is organized, our group will be more than enough."

Glenn's attitude on the one hand is quite optimistic, it must be said that the group of people who came from Atlanta were all very optimistic. In their eyes, since the captain felt that this matter could be done, then there would be no problem. As for how to organize further actions, subconsciously everyone believes in Airon.

"Then I have no objection, it's over!"

"Me too."

"I haven't tasted fish for a long time..."

Feeling the confidence of the leaders, everyone was confident that they could do it without much trouble.

...

Stevens waited nervously off to the side waiting for the patrol change.

He began to check the time frequently. Now there was only half an hour left before the changing of the guard. If the people of Airon hesitate, they can only give up on this idea. After all, this is just a temporary idea on their own, if any accident happens they will be discovered.

Just when he couldn't help but want to remind the other party, Airon finally got out of the back of the car.

"What do you call them?"

Seeing that the other party agreed, Steven's tone became a little excited. It seemed that the next action was very important and he said nervously, "First I will send two of my partners to go back and call someone. After they arrive, we have half an hour at most to return and give the report, otherwise they will notice the difference."
