In the distance, moments before Airon's group realized they were surrounded by walkers, Daryl was walking alongside Glenn and Ferdinand accompanied by the rest of their group.
"So, you're saying that monster that killed all those people that went into the military camp, they never saw absolutely nothing, right?"
Glenn was too intrigued by the words Ferdinand and his companion had said, although it was too crazy to think that there were monsters more dangerous than walkers, so he was just satisfying his curiosity.
"We shouldn't be walking back to camp now, this is too dangerous." Ferdinand hadn't exactly explained what he was so afraid of, but that only made the other people's curiosity greater.
"Well, whatever it is, the special group ahead will kill it. They were all soldiers before the end of the world, many even helped teach the group how to shoot."
"We need to concentrate, we can talk after we get this over with." Maggie said after looking at Glenn.
Just then, Elias's voice was heard coming out of the radio. "Zz... The team needs help, they're surrounded by walkers."
Daryl stopped his steps and then frowned, grabbed the radio from his chest and said, "Zz.... How did they end up being surrounded?"
"Zz... Those walkers are strange, it's nothing like we've seen before. Don't talk, the group needs backup."
Without answering, Daryl held up his rifle and moved quickly through the streets. Glenn's expression turned serious, right now something was definitely going on.
Ferdinand looked at the group and roughly imagined what was happening now in the military camp, many groups had died without them being able to do anything.
...
Faced with the sound of gunshots and metal banging, this sudden movement naturally alarmed all the remaining walkers near Airon, causing them all to head in his direction.
From the sound of bullets in the distance, the group that Airon separated from should continue to engage the remaining abnormal walkers in the vicinity. This situation at first was bad, but with Elias and Sasha supporting from afar, everything was becoming less intense.
In just a dozen seconds, Airon had engaged in a deadly confrontation with this walker that was a variation of anything he had ever seen or known. At least Airon doesn't remember that something similar had appeared in the original story, this mutated walker was something new that made him very nervous.
"Bang! Bang!"
With two quick shots, Airon took out two walkers that had approached from both sides, and just as he turned his head to that one walker different from the rest this one had approached him.
"Auge!"
Using his strength as a weapon, Airon threw that walker's body to the side and shot it twice. However, two more walkers came out from a corner and Airon had to turn around again.
"This must be a joke!"
Seeing that the bullets in the pistol had run out, Airon turned his body to the side and reloaded his pistol as he kicked a walker coming towards him.
Airon had been watching that special walker the whole time, he knew it was something he should report to the scientists at the prison as this wasn't supposed to be happening.
"Bang! Bang!"
Eliminating the two walkers that had come to his side, Airon raised his pistol and in three shots had taken them out without much trouble. But those seconds of distraction caused the mutated walker to jump on top of him and due to his poor posture he fell to the ground.
Airon had his gas mask on, so the saliva and blood that stained the mask didn't get on his face. Using his left hand and a key from his lower body to prevent that walker from biting him, he held back the advance.
At this moment, he could see the skin and teeth of this walker. Its abnormal strength, speed and movements was something Airon was not prepared for. But that didn't matter now, slowly moving the gun to the head stopped by its legs, Airon didn't hesitate and fired.
"Bang!"
The bullet quickly exited the barrel of the gun, but Airon did not stop and fired two more shots before the strength of this walker slowly lost its intensity.
After eliminating this walker different from others, Airon let out a sigh of relief and muttered, "Damn horrible thing, how the hell can such a thing exist in this world? They're not walkers..."
"Airon!"
At that moment, a hurried shout was heard from afar and Glenn helped Airon remove the corpse on top of his body. The mask on his face was full of blood, so Glenn seeing all that blood thought the worst.
"Daryl, Airon is..." Just as Glenn was about to say unfortunate words, he received a blow to the head.
"He's alive, stop making a fuss." Daryl kicked the mutated walker's corpse and looked him up and down.
Hearing this, Airon's expression looked a little strange, although because of the mask no one could see his true expression. Taking off the gas mask, Airon looked at the crowd and then said, "Apparently if there was anything strange about this place, check the corpses and see that they don't get off the ground."
He then looked at the corpse on the ground, its skin was gray and its muscles apparently did not rot very easily, which gave it more strength and speed. Its blood was dark, as if it was from an unknown creature.
Airon looked at his hands and then examined his body for wounds, right now although he felt sore there was no tearing and the wounds were apparently muscular. With Daryl's help Airon stood up and they both looked into each other's eyes.
"This one is special, it's a walker that apparently mutated, the other walkers were on the ground pretending to be corpses and when we were in the middle of the crowd they attacked us." Raising the gun, Airon attacked the corpse twice more.
"Bang! Bang!"
The bullet went straight through the mutated walker's head and the dark blood mixed with the dirt on the ground.
The mutated walker on the ground didn't even move, there was no sign of life as it had been dead for a while.
"Secure the corpses on the ground, you must be alert due to the fact that they may be alive."
"Did we see?" everyone turned to look at Airon, they didn't quite understand his words.
"Their nature is unknown, couldn't give you a clear answer as I have no idea what these things are." Airon said with a cold expression.
"Bang!"
Suddenly hearing gunshots behind them, everyone in front unconsciously cowered their necks.
"Boss!" Jon and Billy, who had separated from Airon some time ago, came up next to Merle who was leading the other group and everyone breathed a sigh of relief to see that no one had been hurt.
"How are the others?" Airon didn't want to say unnecessary words.
"We're all fine, the air apparently isn't the problem here. We managed to eliminate all the walkers with Merle's support, the camp is now clear."
Airon nodded as he heard these words and then said, "We need to move the corpses and burn them, if possible I want to take samples of this special entity and save them."
"That we will do sir."
