Breakfast

The Next Day at Crown Princess' pavilion, White Jade Palace.

Many servants served food on the table. From toast to meat, from juice to milk, from salty to sweet. Renny watched her breakfast this morning with a beaming face of happiness. It was like she hadn't seen food in years. How come not, yesterday, all day long, she was wearing a super tight dress, let alone swallowing food, air was hard to get in out into her body.

"Wow!! All of this for me??" Renny asked with a wide smile.

"Yes, Your highness, it's all yours," Kayla answered, she no longer forbid Renny to eat because she had done the engagement process.

"Ah!! Let's eat!!" Renny held a knife and fork, she could help to wait any longer.

Raina giggled softly when opening the plate and napkin for Renny. Raina put some food on Renny's plate. Renny's eyes twinkled when she ate the food. Renny ate fast, full filling her tummy with good food.

"It's so delicious!!" Renny said with her mouth full.

"Please don't say anything when you eat, My Lady. It is not a good manner." Kayla warned Renny, she could choke.

"Ugh... Cough... Cough!!" Renny choked.

"Slow down, Princess." Raina poured camomile tea into a pretty cup. The handle was made of silver, and there was an image of an orchid flower on the porcelain surface.

"Thanks, Raina." Renny gulped warm tea down fast so her itchy throat could disappear fast too.

"You welcome, Princess."

Renny back to eat, but slower than before. Afraid that she would choke again.

"Have you guys eaten?" asked Renny. She felt awkward when seeing her maids only standing, serving, and watching her eat. There was a lot of food in front of her right now, and the table was too big for one human.

"We will eat at our mealtime, Princess." Kayla refused, they were working right now.

"Why don't you eat with me? There are lots of food on the table. I can't possibly finish it all either." Renny ordered her ladies to come to eat.

They looked at each other, neither daring to take a step. They could be punished for violating royal etiquette. They could be fired, and lose their job as government officers.

"We will eat where we should, Princess," said them gently.

"Oh okay. I will eat in my solitude." Renny chewed her breakfast sadly.

Renny felt lonely. She had never eaten alone like this before. There was always daddy and mommy accompanying her to eat. At home, eating was the happiest time for her. Renny could always tell stories, joke, and chat with his parents at the dining table.

Even when she was at school, Alex and her friends were always there to accompany her had lunch in the canteen.

"Ah... Why am I crying?" Renny was aware of the tears flowing down slowly.

"Why is Princess crying?" Jayden's voice was hoarse and angry as he came to Princess' residence.

"Oo... our greeting to Wei Great Sun's Son." the maids were immediately frightened. They didn't dare look at Jayden's face and kept their eyes down.

"It's not their fault. I cried because this food is too good." Renny got up, she immediately defended her maids.

"Is that true?" Jayden approached Renny, combing her black hair behind her ear.

"That's right, Your Majesty." Renny leaned back. Jayden was too close to her body. Renny could feel his broad chest against hers.

"Okay. Continue your breakfast, Princess. I will accompany you to eat." Jayden opened a chair for Renny and helped her sit down.

"Thank you, Your Highness."

"You're welcome."

The maids served Jayden straight away, pouring his cup of camomile tea with two mint leaves. Jayden never drank tea with sugar, he always replaced it with wild honey.

Renny glanced at her Prince and saw the way he was sipping and enjoying the tea. The visual looked so perfect in Renny's eyes. This prince was handsome and charismatic. If only she had known Jayden first, would she still love Alex?

"Are you satisfied looking at me, Princess?" Jayden teased.

"Ah..." Renny was very embarrassed, she was too often caught stealing glances at Jayden's handsome face. Admiring his gorgeousness.

"Lessons on etiquette, royal administration, and also procedures for managing royal finances will start tomorrow. You must study everything well because soon you will be my queen!" Jayden pushed Renny.

"Your Majesty I think... I can... can't." Renny stuttered again.

"You can do it, Princess. I have chosen you. You are the future Queen of this Country." Jayden stroked the back of Renny's hand, and Renny pulled it away.

"Sorry," Renny said softly.

Jayden just stared at Renny without expression. Why was it so difficult to subdue the girl in front of him?

Meanwhile, Renny was looking at herself with pity. How heavy was the burden she carries? Crown princess? Future queen? Being a wife had never crossed her mind, let alone being a queen.

[I will not give up on you, Renny."] Jay thought, gripping the end of his spoon tightly.
