JULIAN'S POV.
Pain. That's all I felt in this moment. I felt so weak. Like I couldn't even defend myself right now. My mind had already blacked out and the last thing I saw was Colin's hands around his mother's neck. She was almost blacking out too. That was the last thing I saw.
I woke up and the first person I saw was my beautiful mate right next to me watching me with those beautiful hazel green eyes. I knew he would be worried about me but this should have been the other way around.
"Hey baby. Are you okay? Does it still hurt?" His voice was so mellow and it sounded hoarse, like he wanted to cry.
I caressed his face and stared at him with longing in my eyes.
"Colin, please don't cry. I'm fine. It was just a couple of scraps and bruises. Besides they already healed up see?" I took off the bandaids and the scars were already gone. Perks of being a vampire I guess.
He trailed his warm fingers up against my cold skin. He kissed my neck softly and I stifled in a soft moan.
"I made it clear that she shouldn't touch my mate again. I hope she got the message because if she touches you again I swear I'll..." He clenched his fists to suppress the anger because he knew I didn't like to see him angry.
I moved closer to him and kissed those beautiful pink lips of his. It felt divine. My Wolfie. My love.
"You shouldn't be making a distance with your mother, Colin. We came here to fix things remember? Don't make your relationship worse than it already is okay?" I told him. We were here for him to fix his relationship with his mother. That fight didn't really help.
"Fine my love. I don't pick petty fights with her anymore. I promise. Happy now?" I saw his pearly white teeth due to his beautiful smile. I gave him a reassuring kiss but the truth was I was worried.
