008 Name
Sometime later, the young man returned with some fruit and two big fat rabbits, then gave them to Anindira after he sat down in front of her.
“This is for me?” asked Anindira.
"Eat!" cried the young man. Giving orders with a flat expression still clearly displayed on his face.
“E-at…” said Anindira, repeating following the young man's words, pausing each syllable.
''Eum...'' the young man nodded, ''Eat,'' said the young man, again repeating his words.
''Thank you,'' Anindira answered with a sweet smile and started to eat the fruit, ''I'm very hungry... Thank you again,'' said Anindira as she crammed every bite of the fruit she ate.
Anindira ate quite voraciously for a girl who was still in a state of shock. But, it's her easygoing nature. She was quite stressed yesterday, but now she has to continue living with her current situation if she wants to survive in an unfamiliar world.
''You seem to like those fruits, but you didn't glance at the rabbit I brought,'' said the young man, probing.
Anindira again showed the same reaction as before, because she did not understand what the young man was saying. Like it or not, only a stupid-looking face could be shown by Anindira.
''You...'' called the young man slowly, ''Not...'' continued the young man again, ''Eat this?'' asked the young man, pointing to the rabbit in front of him, when he finished his sentence.
It turned out that he had purposely said it word for word, broken up as if he was dictating to Anindira.
''Hmm?'' Anindira raised her eyebrows, watching the young man, but, he then smiled, ''You mean to eat that?!'' Anindira exclaimed with confirmation. She was quite happy too because she could find out what the young man meant.
''How do you eat it?'' asked Anindira, then, ''Isn't it still raw?! '' exclaimed Anindira, emphasizing while trying to demonstrate it.
The young man nodded in response to Anindira's ridiculous demonstration. This time, Anindira showed a slightly different reaction. Anindira frowned at the thought of something strange.
''How do you eat a rabbit still full of fur like that?'' asked Anindira in surprise. She wrinkled her forehead while making a disgusted look at the dead rabbit in the young man's hands.
The young man reached into the leather pouch at his waist and took out a flat stone. Soon after, he began tearing and skinning the rabbits with great dexterity.
There was no disgust in Anindira when she saw the young man processing the rabbit in front of her. Anindira is used to things like that. So far, Anindira has been diligent in helping her mother and grandmother in the kitchen. Apart from that, she also accompanied her grandfather on several occasions to hunt, then she also cultivated the squirrels she had hunted.
After finishing processing the rabbit, the young man handed it over to Anindira.
Anindira's eyes widened, Anindira's face wrinkled at the sight, reflexively, Anindira's body moved back a little, not only because of amusement but because of confusion.
''Do you want to eat the rabbit raw?'' exclaimed Anindira, asking with a face that showed an expression of distaste and disgust.
Seeing Anindira's reaction like that, the young man misunderstood it, he then wanted to throw away the rabbit in his hand.
''WAIT!'' Anindira shouted with a hand that reflexively moved quickly to stop the young man's hand, which was about to throw the game in his hand.
''What are you going to do with the rabbit?'' asked Anindira next with a slightly angry face, ''Don't throw it away, it's wasted!'' Anindira cried, preventing and holding the young man's sturdy wrist.
Anindira stared firmly at the young man. She didn't like seeing the treatment that wasted food.
''You don't like it, do you?! You didn't eat it?!'' asked the young man.
He was confused. Why did Anindira hold his hand, already like that? Anindira was also very brave because she looked directly into his eyes.
''Sir, don't throw it away!'' cried Anindira, ''Why did you catch and process it if you want to throw it away?!'' asked Anindira firmly, ''You catch it, that means you want to eat it... you won't give me something you don't eat yourself?'' Anindira shouted again, she rebuked him very hard.
Anindira was annoyed. Why did the young man throw food away so easily, especially if it was still fresh and of good quality?
They were both silent for a few moments, between understanding and not understanding the words and actions of both parties. Try groping and researching some of their previous actions. Finally, after thinking things over for a while, they concluded.
''Sir...'' called Anindira, who gave in first, ''I don't eat raw meat...'' said Anindira again with his ridiculous demonstration.
''Aahh!'' screamed Anindira, then, ''Right, fire!... There must be fire!... You can make a fire?'' Anindira asked, and again, with a bit of a strange demonstration, she made.
The young man, who initially seemed to always have a cold face without feelings, unexpectedly, two days since he was with Anindira, always smiled, because he always saw Anindira's ridiculous and strange actions.
But, in the end, the young man tried to be wise in seeing Anindira's actions. Slowly, he tried to analyze something.
The young man's eyes widened, and his eyebrows raised, and he finally remembered something.
''Sorry... I'm sorry... I forgot,'' said the young man looking panicked, in contrast to his cold demeanor so far, ''You women don't like to eat raw meat... I forgot...'' added the young man who, again, sincerely apologized to Anindira.
Again the young man took out two stones from his pocket. This time they were lumps, not flat. The young man kicked the two stones together. From the impact of the two stones, a splash was then seen. Anindira's eyes opened wide for a moment and then her eyes immediately lit up.
"YEAH!... FIRE!" cried Anindira, again her hands and face were compact with her ridiculous attitude and demonstration, ''Hehehe...'' a strange laugh appeared again on her already ridiculous face, ''Sir, you are smart.
''Wa-wait... here!...'' cried the young man, again he spoke in a dictating manner while holding Anindira's shoulder. Cue him to wait.
Nimbly the young man went back down the tree, again he left Anindira on the tree. However, after a few minutes, he got up and took Anindira downstairs. It turned out that the young man had come down to prepare a bonfire. When he brought Anindira down, the fire was ready below. He then took two rabbits wrapped in broad leaves resembling teak leaves and thrust them into the wood and then started burning them. While waiting for the rabbit to be ready to eat, they talked and decided to get acquainted and continue to talk more.
''Halvir...'' the young man said, pointing at himself, ''Halvir... I am... Halvir...'' the young man repeated, then pointed at Anindira.
''Hal... Vir?!'' Anindira exclaimed, then pointed at the young man.
''Eum...'' the young man nodded, ''You?!'' Halvir asked, he then pointed at Anindira.
''Anindira... A-nin-di-ra...'' said Anindira, pointing to herself.
Their conversation continued with Halvir pointing out and naming the objects around them until finally the rabbit meat was cooked and ready to be eaten. The taste is bland but still delicious, especially when Anindira is hungry at the moment. She wouldn't be picky about food at a time like that.
''Bland...'' said Anindira after biting off a piece of meat and then chewing it, ''But, it doesn't taste bad... it's still worth eating, what else in a place like this,'' said Anindira, holding up showing the shredded meat Anindira flaunts it to Halvir.
The rabbit meat has a distinct natural taste with the aroma of firewood and leaves enveloping it. Even though it has a normal taste, it can still be enjoyed deliciously.
''I don't know what you're talking about. But, seeing you eat well. It means you liked the meat I cooked for you. That's good... You won't starve then,'' Halvir said in response to Anindira. His face was very flat when he spoke, but his eyes were smiling, looking at Anindira.
