The Denial

"Princess Mariah..." Prince Rex called. "Do you hate me that much to the extent that you would deny me meeting you last night despite your harsh attitude towards me?"

Princess Mariah initially was startled as he mentioned her name but she bounced back in greater anger, "What are you even saying? You didn't come to my chamber last night. I would have stabbed you if you did."

Princess Mariah noticed that her angst was getting out of control, so she calmed herself and apologised to the king, "Your Majesty, I am sorry but I see no reason why I would lie about the Prince not coming to my chamber last night."

The king smiled a bit and then he stood up making Prince Rex stand up too. "Princess Mariah, my apologies for not informing you about your upcoming mating session with Prince Rex."

"What?" Prince Rex and Princess Mariah exclaimed.

King Griffin smiled a little and then uttered, facing Prince Rex, "Son, I thought I informed you about that."
