Chapter 54

It has been several days after Hope and Morgan came back from Hyrule and helped Link save his world, both girls then immediately began to help gather help, technology, and materials for Harry's 'War against the Reapers' project, almost every day, they would go to the Natural Dungeon, hop around worlds they visited to ask for aid or advice and lastly, aid the boys with their many projects.

Morgan's skills in programming and scientific knowledge helped a lot, plus her experience in different worlds gave some very good ideas to her father and the boys on weapons and other forms of useful technology, today, the girls are testing a new weapon created and engineered by Tony and Harry.

A weapon combining technology and magic, something new and unique, while doing this, they will also be doing a mission for Neo Kyoto as well, one that is taking place in the Underworld.

Hope walked over to the edge of a tall mountain in the Underworld and looked down, her enhanced eyesight was able to pick up a mansion way down below from where she was standing and a far distance away from her location, she soon raised a hand and summoned the new weapon she was testing today.

A long chrome revolver appeared in a flash of light in her hand, the weapon was white in color and seemed to be made of some kind of metal, however, the revolver looked completely advanced technology-wise, it was even glowing at the gaps between the weapon's parts with a soft white light.

Hope looked at the revolver as she held it in one hand and inspected everything she could about the weapon, suddenly, someone spoke up from behind her "How's the weight?".

Hope turned her head to the side and gazed at the person behind her "It's heavy... I doubt a normal human could lift it easily, much less wield it, what do you think Er-".

The person behind Hope raised a hand stopping her mid-sentence before she could say his name "It's Killmonger while on a mission Phoenix".

Hope blushed and awkwardly laughed, she completely forgot about that little detail "Oh right, it skipped my mind for a second there, sorry".

Killmonger nodded, not really bothered by Hope's mistake, it was normal to forget details like that when you're not used to doing something after all "It's cool, just keep it in mind, we are in the Underworld and the Devils have no idea what we're doing here, so it's best to use codenames, just in case, alright?".

Hope nodded understanding why it was needed to be careful right now "Right, then let's try the shift sequence".

Killmonger nodded, actually looking forward to what is about to happen "Go ahead, I admit, I am curious about the shift myself, if it works right, it will change the way we fight with firearms in Neo Kyoto".

Hope nodded, being one of the few who uses firearms in Neo Kyoto, she could see how this could be really important for those who specialized in gun handling, so she put her hand holding the revolver in front of her and then channeled some mana into it, while also giving the weapon a mental command, the revolver let out some steam and began to shift while changing its form until Hope was no longer holding a revolver, but a sniper rifle instead.

Hope hummed and she began to inspect the sniper rifle to see if the shift happened correctly and that nothing was missing, Killmonger nodded seeing the sniper rifle and then commented on what he just saw happen "That wasn't as smooth as I thought it was going to be, but the shift worked, what did Tony say he made the weapon out of with?".

Hope kept checking the sniper rifle, but still answered the question "Hm? white chrome Digizoid, since it's a metal made out of digital data it allowed Morgan and Uncle Tony to actually program the weapon to react to mana, its the trigger for the shift plus a mental command, I think that it's very clever how they made this work like that".

Killmonger crossed his arms and then asked "How did it feel then? The shift that is".

Hope turned around to face Killmonger and answered the question "It took quite a bit of mana, I also had to have a clear image of what I wanted it to shift into, but other than that it felt easy to activate the shift".

Killmonger grinned feeling quite impressed with the new weapon" That's good, so we only have to do some modifications, but overall, the new weapon seems pretty ready for use".

Hope nodded in agreement, since after inspecting the weapon she saw that the Sniper Rifle wasn't missing anything and could be used right away "Yeah, I'll ask Daddy to add feather weight enchantments to it, so humans can use them as well, we do have a few humans in the Gunners Guild after all, other than that, it already has the necessary enchantments to be used.

Things like recoil dampening, energy absorption, elemental infusion, and overcharge, useful stuff really".

Killmonger walked over to Hope's side and gave her a nod "Alright, then take your shot when ready, so we can tell Morgan to bomb the place, we're here to test how well the weapon actually shoots too".

Hope nodded and then laid down belly first on the ground, she then brought the sniper rifle forward and looked through the scope, though she frowned when she saw that it didn't let her see too far down the mountain and into the mansion.

She was thinking about what to do next, when the scope suddenly glowed a bit and shifted turning into a way more modern and powerful scope, Killmonger hummed when he saw that happened and then said "That's useful, how did you do it?".

Hope looked over to Killmonger and shook her head "I didn't do anything, the weapon just reacted to my needs, I couldn't see all the way down with the scope, so I was thinking about what to do next".

Killmonger grinned and seemed even more excited about the new weapon "That's pretty neat actually, so this is what makes it a smart weapon huh?".

Hope nodded "Yup! Daddy made it with that in mind, a thinking self-updating and evolving firearm, a weapon that changes depending on the wielder's needs and fighting style.

Honestly, it's amazing that Daddy can make weapons like these, I asked Morgan how it was possible too and she told me, that Digizoid is sort of like a living metal, data-given form, and as such it can be programmed like a computer program".

Killmonger looked amazed, it was what was created by Harry and Tony, those two sure are terrifying with how smart and creative they ge are "Well... damn, now I really want one".

Hope giggled and nodded, understanding Killmonger's desire for a weapon like this one "Wait until they're done testing and improving them, I'm sure the final product would be even better".

Killmonger nodded knowing how true that statement is "Sounds good, now, can you take the shot?".

Hope took a look through the scope and then began to make adjustments, she soon was able to see her target sitting behind his desk reading some paperwork "Hmm... I see him".

Killmonger kneeled down beside Hope and took a look himself, with a pair of highly modern Binoculars "... So that's the current head of the Nebiros Devil clan, got to say, I can see why Kuroka hates them, that guy looks like an asshole".

Hope sweatdropped at the swear word but nodded in agreement nonetheless "Yeah, the devils didn't seem to want to do anything to these guys, even when we gave them evidence about their research and link to the Khaos Brigade.

Mama Serafall and Mama Yasaka we're really angry about that too, I think I heard Mama Serafall mention something about the Old Faction protecting the Nebiros Devil Clan, which really is bad news for everyone".

Killmonger frowned as he thought about that tidbit of information Hope just dropped "Of course they're protecting them, they're doing research for them and the Khaos Brigade, I can see why Harry wants them gone too, they're too dangerous to be left alone... but what about the rest? I'm sure this isn't their only base"

Hope nodded and then began to give Killmonger more details about this mission, or at least, what she knew from her mothers Yasaka and Serafall "That's right, this mansion is just a front for the Nebiros Clan, but the Anbu Corps is taking care of all the other facilities the Nebiros clan has and are using, we're just here to kill, the Head of the clan and test the weapon".

Killmonger grunted thinking how easy this mission was turning out to be, he then said "I see, that's why Morgan is bombarding the place as soon as you take out the Head of the Clan, right?".

Hope smiled and nodded "Yup! We can't risk any of the Nebiros clan members escaping to just continue their research or give it to someone else, so we have to make sure they're gone for good, thankfully, Mama Serafall confirmed that there are no servants, or children in the Nebiros clan right now, so we don't have to worry about innocents getting caught in the crossfire".

Killmonger shrugged not really caring about innocents "All devils are the same to me, well except Serafall, but I don't know these guys, so I don't care".

Hope nervously giggled at Killmonger's cold and hard comment and then went back to taking aim, Killmonger aka Erik, is a hardened individual, loyal but uncaring about the rest of the world, so he sometimes comes off as cruel and cold, but that's the mentality he developed in the streets and in war.

So no one holds it against him, not even the children of the Potter household, Hope soon had her aim ready and then held her breath, a few seconds later, she softly pulled the trigger, and a plasma shot spun inside the barrel at high speed and then shot out from the sniper rifle a split second later and an amazing speed.

The plasma shot traveled through the air in not even a second, went through the window, and then hit the Nebiros Devil Clan's head, his head exploded like a zit splattering blood everywhere, while the shot kept going through walls until it crashed against the ground, outside the mansion.

Killmonger whistled impressed with the shot "Nice, was that the plasma technology from those Hunters you girls mentioned before?".

Hope nodded and stood up while slapping her clothes clean of dust and dirt "Yup! Seems like the technology meshes perfectly with the Digizoid, enchantments, and shift, Daddy and Uncle Tony were wondering if I would work, especially because Uncle Tony had to install a mini arc reactor to the weapon to power the plasma and the shift sequence, but it seems like it's working just fine".

Killmonger nodded and then said "And it did its job well".

Hope turned the sniper rifle back to its revolver form and then put it away into one of her dress pockets, she then took out her smartphone and texted Morgan, she soon finished and turned to speak with Killmonger "Alright, it's done, we should get out here now, Morgan is about to bomb this area".

Killmonger nodded and Hope quickly teleported them both out of the mountain they were standing on and back to the Potter household.

Morgan was up in the sky of the Underworld waiting for word from Hope when she suddenly received a text, she quickly took out her smartphone and read it, she cheerfully smiled afterward as she put her smartphone away and summoned her Boosted Gear.

She then raised her arm up and began to gather a massive amount of crimson red energy into the palm of her hand as her Boosted Gear, began to chant, "Boost, Boost, Boost!".

When Morgan felt that she had gathered enough energy into her now massive and condensed energy orb, she quickly waved her arm down and the massive orb of energy suddenly dropped down in an arc, Morgan then quickly teleported back home.

The massive orb of crimson energy dropped from the sky of the Underworld at high speed, until it impacted the Nebiros Mansion, where everyone was running around in panic after the head of the clan was killed in his office.

The explosion caused by Morgan's attack, created a massive explosion that shook the entire Underworld, scaring the devils, who had no idea what was happening, well except the few who knew of the kind of beings that can do something like this.

By the end of it all, the land owned by the Nebiros clan was utterly devastated and was now literally gone, but when the devils come to investigate, nothing would be found, though, Sirzechs would have an idea of who is involved in all of this, but he wouldn't be able to do anything, at all and just let it go not wanting to deal with it.

Morgan soon arrived home and immediately walked into the Potter household, she immediately found Hope and Erik waiting for her, she cheerfully smiled at them and then saluted to Erik "Mission accomplished! Everything in the Nebiros clan land has been destroyed!".

Erik nodded and then began to walk towards the Potter household entrance "Alright, so I'm going to go report to Yasaka and Serafall, you both did great, if we need more mission help, I'll make sure to ask you girls".

Both Hope and Morgan nodded and waved at Erik goodbye, while he just walked out of the house and left towards Neo Kyoto with the help of a teleportation ring, he might not be able to use magic, but Neo Kyoto has some very handy enchanted items that anyone could buy to do things that can magic can do.

Hope smiled and then turned her head towards Morgan "Come on! Let's report to Uncle Tony, I'm sure he's very curious about how the Shift weapon performed".

Morgan nodded and both girls walked towards the basement together, Morgan hummed for a few seconds, as they both walked, "So how did Uncle Harry and Dad's new weapon work?".

Hope smiled and began to explain, "It's actually a pretty good weapon, the shift was also pretty interesting to see as well, it's just a bit noisy and slow when shifting".

Morgan nodded and then opened the door to the basement, after that, both girls then began to walk down the stairs, until they reached the actual basement, as they did so, they felt the wards scan them as they walked towards the door leading to the lab.

Once in front of the door, both put their hand on a couple of scanners on the wall beside the lab's door, the scanners scanned their whole hand and then the door to the boy's lab opened for them, Hope and Morgan don't really need to do all of this to go into the boys' labs.

But they like doing so, cause they feel like they're super spies walking into their hideout to get get a new mission and that's fun for them, as soon as the door opened, both Morgan and Hope walked inside and found Tony working on something in his computer.

Though he soon turned around and smiled at his daughter and niece, "Hey squirts! How did your errand for Yasake go?".

Morgan ran to her father and gave him a hug, while Hope walked over and gave him a thumbs up, "Popped his head like a zit!".

Tony chuckled and shook his head in amusement, he had already gotten used to how brutal and gruesome the kids of the Potter household are, and at this point in his life, it just makes him chuckle.

So, Tony nodded to Hope and then ask "And how did the shift weapon perform?"

Hope pulled out the revolver from her dress pocket and showed her to Tony "It worked well, but the shift is a bit too slow and noisy, it releases a lot of steam when it shifts too, that's a big no-no on a covert mission".

Tony nodded and hummed for a few seconds, while ruffling Morgan's hair, which had her cheerfully smile, "Yeah, that's not a good thing... Morgan, did you collect any data?".

Morgan nodded to her father and took out her smartphone, she then handed it to him "Yup! I had my smartphone scan the revolver at all times from my location, it picked up a bit of data, but I don't think it will be enough for you to come up with a solution right away.

Right off the bat, I could tell you that the steam is a discharge from the mini reactor shifting the weapon as fast as it can, there are a lot of small pieces involved and the program isn't enough to handle all of that, and the energy distribution at the same time".

Tony stared at Morgan in silence for a few seconds before speaking again "Squirt, you scare me sometimes with how much you remind me of me when I was young... err... just stay away from parties and alcohol okay sweetie?".

Morgan cheerfully nodded at her father, making Tony sigh in relief, "Well, at least I don't have to worry about you waking up engaged to a stranger or something, let me tell you, that's not fun at all...".

Morgan began to nervously sweat when her father mentioned being engaged, it reminded her of a certain stubborn Zora, meanwhile, Hope snorted in amusement and then began to say "Already too la- hmmhmmh!".

Morgan moved beyond the speed of light to stop Hope from spilling the beans about her supposed engagement to Ruto, she suddenly appeared behind Hope so fast, that the little Potter couldn't react, which allowed Morgan to cover Hope's mouth to stop her from saying anything, the whole thing made Tony sweatdrop, while Morgan nervously laughed and said "Ah, don't worry Dad, nothing like that is ever going to happen, no siree!".

Tony deadpanned at Morgan now feeling very suspicious of her, but Morgan suddenly smiled and then threw Hope to the side causing the little Potter to squeak in surprise as she sailed through the air, meanwhile, Morgan began to get back to the previous conversation in hopes of distracting her father "Anyways Dad, you're going to need a lot more data to fix those little details, the enchantments seem to work fine with the technology.

But the energy discharge and shift problems do need to be fixed, if not it might strain the mechanism and program, the Digizoid is a very powerful metal, but it can eventually wear down, especially with all the energy the mini arc reactor is putting out".

Tony nodded now thinking about the weapon's issue, while Hope crashed against a cart of tools, making a lot of noise and sending tools flying all over the place, though she giggled as she lay on top of the tool cart, finding Morgan's reaction to be funny, Tony was too busy thinking on what to do, so he didn't even hear Hope.

But Morgan did and she gave Hope a look of betrayal as the Phoenix Force lay on top of the tool cart and continued to giggle, Tony then walked over to his computer and pulled out all the files and blueprints for the shift weapon.

He stared at them for a few seconds, before speaking, "Harry and I used Digizoid because it can be programmed it is mineralized digital energy after all, I used the same programs I use for my suits as well.

The problem is the mini arc reactor, it might be a smaller scale, but it still putting out a massive amount of energy, much more that something as small as the shift weapon can handle and use, the excess energy might cause it to break down, down the line".

Hope got off the tool cart and walked over to Morgan and her father, though Morgan pointed at her eyes with two of her fingers and then pointed at Hope with the same fingers, letting Hope know that she was watching her, Hope just smiled and rolled her eyes.

Though she soon spoke to Tony, "Would more data help you, Uncle Tony?".

Tony turned his head towards Hope and nodded, "Well, it would certainly help, maybe data in a live battle situation would give me a better idea of what to do to fix these details".

Hope hummed as she crossed her arms and thought about the situation for a few seconds, until she decided to offer some help "Well, Morgan and I could world jump, maybe set the parameters of the world jump to a world where a battle is happening.

We can then try the weapon as much as we want, and Morgan can collect more data with her smartphone, plus we can also add to the parameters for a world that can help with the shift weapon as well, any solution would work, right?".

Tony nodded, while Morgan began to hop from foot to foot excited to join a battle and crack some skulls open, Tony noticed the excitement on his daughter's face and demeanor, and he couldn't help but smile, "Well, it would certainly help me a lot, plus, Morgan already looks ready to go, so I can't really deny the help right?".

Hope grinned at Morgan, who was indeed looking ready to jump, into some action, Morgan then fist-pumped "Yeah! Let's have some fun! I want to fight!".

Tony chuckled and looked very amused "God, your as smart as me, but you sure act violent sometimes squirt... must have gotten it from Pepper".

Morgan giggled at what her father said "Mommy will get mad if she hears what you said, Dad?".

Tony smiled and then said, "Which is why we're not ever telling her, okay?".

Morgan grinned and pointed at her father "What's in it for me?".

Tony chuckled and looked amused at Morgan's words "Ah, blackmail, I'm so proud...".

Hope giggled finding the whole thing amusing, Tony then chuckled and said "There's a tub of ice cream in the fridge that Harry hid with wards and whatnot, I'm sure he won't mind if you eat some of it".

Morgan cheered in excitement "Nice! Uncle Harry always has the best snacks! Score!".

Even Hope looked interested since everyone knew that Harry tends to hide snacks and sweets sometimes, only the things that are his favorite, which in hindsight, means that these sweets and snacks are very delicious.

Tony smiled at the girls and mentally apologized to Harry for his brave sacrifice after all an angry Pepper was too dangerous to his health, Morgan quickly ran to the kitchen upstairs, she can break the barrier easily with her Boosted Gear's pierce ability after all and she wanted that ice cream asap.

Hope smiled and then turned her head towards Tony "Okay, so we'll world jump once we're done with our snack, I'll make sure to use the shift weapon a lot to collect all the data you need".

Tony nodded and Hope quickly ran up the stairs as well, Tony chuckled and then went back to work, he still had a lot of projects to work on after all.

~Sometime later~

Both Morgan and Hope stepped into Morgan's room, Morgan rubbed her belly and licked her lips feeling very satisfied "Yum! I don't know what flavor that ice cream was, but it was very delicious! and soft! I really like that it was so soft, I wonder how Uncle Harry can make ice cream that delicious?".

Hope nodded as she also rubbed her belly "Yeah, and it was fruity too, I wonder what sort of fruits Daddy used? I don't think I recognized any of the flavors either".

Hope, suddenly stopped walking and then deadpanned towards Morgan's bed "Morgan... your cucco got into the power-ups again...".

Morgan raised an eyebrow and then looked over to her bed, right there, on top of her pillow, was her cucco roosting, though the cucco seemed to be wearing a frog suit, the cucco even croaked a bit, which made Hope sweatdropped and Morgan laugh, before saying "Well at least it wasn't an ice or fire flower".

Hope nervously began to sweat, when images of what sort of danger a fire or ice-wielding cucco could be, the issue with Morgan's cucco getting her clawed feet on a power-up, was that the only way to get rid of the effects of the power-up, was hitting the cucco and no one wanted to do that.

The last time Morgan's cucco got to a super mushroom, Sirius was the one to draw the short end of the stick and hit the cucco, well, he was immediately murdered by a horde of cuccos, Harry had to put his body back together and then bring him back to life.

Needless to say that Sirius now has a phobia of chickens is an understatement, so now, Hope didn't know what to do with a cucco in a frog suit, though secretly she had to admit, that the cucco did look, kinda cute like that.

Morgan couldn't care less though, she just walked over to her bed and gave her cucco a few head pats, before sitting on her bed and smiling at Hope, "So! Where should we go, to get more data on the shift weapon for Dad?".

Hope crossed her arms and hummed as she thought over where to go, both she and Morgan have been looking through some worlds via the world jump system's viewer mode, so they have seen and know of quite a few worlds which are in conflict right now.

But, it was hard to choose one off the bat, first of all, they have to think of the world they want to try this on, they can't just world jump and immediately begin to shoot at everything in sight, well they can, but they knew that they shouldn't, there was also, the fact that they wanted to find a world where they could get their hands on something that could help them with their current projects as well.

Hope, stopped humming and looked up at Morgan, "Honestly? I'm not really sure, we know quite a few worlds with lots of technology advancements, that could come in handy, but we also need one where we can fight so we can continue to use the shift weapon".

Morgan, place one of her fingers under her chin and scrunched up her brow as she thought about what to do, suddenly, someone knocked on Morgan's door and both girls turned their heads to see who it was.

Yuroichi and Koneko waved at both Morgan and Hope in greeting, though both froze when they saw Morgan's cucco wearing a frog suit, Yuroichi tilted her head and then said, "What?...".

Koneko walked over to the cucco and lifted it up in between her hands and took a closer look, the cucco tilted her head at Koneko and just clucked at her, Koneko smiled and nodded "Cute...".

Morgan nodded in agreement with Koneko, while Hope and Yoruichi deadpanned at them, not really understanding why they think a frog suit-wearing chicken looked cute, Hope sighed and shook her head, she then turned her head towards Yoruichi to ask her a question, "So what's up Aunty Yoruichi?".

Yoruichi turned away from the strangeness that is a cucco wearing a frog suit and turned her head towards Hope, "Oh? Ah, well, Koneko wanted to know how the mission went, that whole thing with Kuroka was a whole big mess".

Hope nodded, "Oh, yeah, after Daddy captured her and Yasaka questioned her for her actions, things sure got really messy, Mommy Serafall was really upset too, to think the Nebiros Clan was conducting such horrendous experiments just to create a super devil".

Yoruichi shook her head at the whole messy situation that started with Kuroka's capture, "Yeah, I think we all saw how pissed Serafall was, she went to the dungeon and quite literally froze an entire floor deep in the dungeon, she forced the dungeon to turn that floor into a snow and ice dungeon, that's very impressive".

Koneko put Morgan's cucco back onto the bed and nodded "Who can blame her for being that angry... once again the devils caused trouble for the Yokai Faction... they were lucky that this happened before Neo Kyoto was created, otherwise, Harry would have reacted far more aggressively".

Morgan laid down on her bed and then piped in "Well, he was angry enough to go cause a ruckus in the Underworld, he got the devils to rescind Kuroka's capture on sight order too, she's even been cleared of all charges as well".

Koneko looked down, Yoruichi noticed this and sighed, "Well... Kuroka did kill her king to protect Koneko, she was just trying to protect her and Harry understood that, sure he was unhappy that Kuroka joined the Khaos Brigade and abandoned Koneko.

But, he understood the situation was pretty bad for Kuroka at the time, that girl just went about this whole thing the wrong way really".

Hope shook her head and then spoke up, "Well, she didn't have much of a choice though... back then, the Yokai Faction wasn't being taken seriously, in fact, it was thought as a joke by most of the other factions.

So Kuroka had nowhere to go nor anyone to ask help from, she quite literally, didn't have any choice but to go on the run and she needed protection as well, what better than an organization led by powerhouses and Mommy Ophis?".

Yoruichi nodded in agreement, Morgan turned her head towards Koneko from where she was lying in her bed "The Nebiros clan is gone, Hope killed the head of the clan and I destroyed the main mansion along with the Nebiros territory.

The Anbu Corps are probably done cleaning and dealing with the rest of the laboratories scattered around the Underworld and the human world, so, Kuroka no longer has to worry about the Nebiros Clan coming after you and or her, the devils won't raise a fuss either.

Not when Kuroka is under the protection of Neo Kyoto, Serafall made sure to let them know, how lucky they are that, Neo Kyoto didn't take things any further than that, especially because this all happened before its time.

But, they sure will leave Kuroka alone, you don't have to worry about your big sister Koneko, everything will be fine".

Koneko blushed in embarrassment at being called out on her worry for Kuroka, but nodded nonetheless, Yoruichi smiled at her little student, "What are you going to do now Koneko? You know? With your sister and everything else".

Koneko sighed and then looked up at everyone "Kuroka will still be under house arrest in Neo Kyoto for a while...she did break the law by being part of the Khaos Brigade... but after she's let out, I'll bring her to live with me.

I'll try to get over what happened and give her a chance... see where we go from there... hopefully, Kuroka will take this chance seriously...".

Yoruichi smiled at her little student and then said "Why don't you have Harry speak with her first? I'm sure he can make her understand".

Koneko hummed for a few seconds before nodding "That's actually a good idea... I'll try that, thanks sensei".

Yoruichi grinned at Koneko and then clapped her hands "Alright, with that done! What are you two little chaos makers doing now?".

Hope smiled at Yoruichi, while Morgan sat up and giggled, she then cheerfully told Yoruichi what they were planning on doing now "Well, Daddy needs more data for a weapon he's having Hope try out, so we're deciding on what world we should go to do so".

Yoruichi excitedly grinned liking what she was hearing "Oooh! That sounds like fun actually... you know what? Count me in, it's been kinda boring at home lately and I've been itching for a fight for a while!".

Koneko rolled her eyes at her sensei, but still had a fond smile on her face "Well... you can count me in too, might as well go and make sure sensei doesn't cause you both any trouble".
