"Are we almost there yet?"

Ai Mi checks her wristwatch and then stares outside the car window.

"Yes, Ma'am. Just a few blocks away"

The phone of Ai Mi begin to vibrate. She takes it out from her purse but dug it back in when she saw the name on the screen.

Of course, it's a weird name to give a human being, but she believes that names doesn't really define the people around her, their profession do.

She tucks the strands of her loose hair behind her ear and continues to stare outside. She has her hat beside her on the car seat and her sunglasses.

The more they draw nearer to the building, the more her heart is pumping with joy to see Haoran again.

The way he stared at her yesterday left her confused the whole night. She has questioned herself so much, that she don't think there's any question in this world that hasn't been asked.

They finally stop in front of the company. She grabs her sunglasses and her hat and wears them at her own pace. She takes her purse as she waits for the driver to open the car door for her.

Zhi Ruo is seen at the receptionist table talking and directing most of the new staff in the company.

She's so engrossed in the directions she's giving, that she doesn't know when Ai Mi entered.

Ai Mi enters the company doors and the whole hallway became as silent as the graveyard immediately.

She takes a few steps and stops behind Zhi Ruo, her purse hanging on her shoulder, from her nose upwards is covered with her hat and her shades are expectantly dark.

The atmosphere is very tense. Not even a fly made a sound.

But Zhi Ruo continues to laugh softly and comfortably without noticing Ai Mi behind her.

"Yes, so the documents have to be arranged in order. You don't want our boss to take you to her office so soon to give you a sack letter, do you?" She says with a small laugh.

No response from the new employee she's talking to.

Then she followed Xia's sight and turned around just to see her boss, in a green elegant but flay gown, staring at her.

Zhi Ruo became dumb at once. She's literally frozen.

Ai Mi opens her mouth to say something but got cut short immediately she opened her mouth as her ears got caught in something interesting.

"After that, Miss Ai Mi will decide if you're suitable for a promotion or not, and believe me she's such a hard nut to crack"

Bella drops the files in her hand on the desk and continues "You have to be careful when around her, don't even try to make a mistake. You might get a sack letter before you even blink an eye"

She turns to pick her phone up with an intention to show Haoran something, but her eyes glues to the body of Ai Mi standing about five feets from her, at the entrance of the company staring at her with everyone else.

"Miss Ai Mi... " she whispers and walks out of the department. The glass used to separate all the departments in the company is not sound proof, therefore chances of being tongue tied is available.

Haoran turns around, his eyes meeting the appearance of Ai Mi as his color drained. Is Bella going to lose her job? This is so bad...

"Miss Ai Mi, y-you're here... What-what are you doing here?"

Zhi Ruo shot at her a death look. Is she really asking that question? Is she stupid enough to open her dirty mouth, to ask that question?!

"Bella, are you insane? Have you gone-?"

"Shut up!" Ai Mi snaps. Zhi Ruo immediately swallows her words but continues to shoot the look at Bella.

"You act as though you haven't said anything like that yourself" Ai Mi retorts

The whole hall raised their head and stared at Ai Mi in shock.

Is she really defending Bella? Over Zhi Ruo?

This... This has never happened!

"So nauseating" she whisper, making Zhi Ruo's head go down in fury and shame.

Then, Ai Mi's head turned to Bella.

"I'm a hard nut to crack. And yes, you will have a sack letter if you make a mistake" she says, sizing Bella up in disgust.

"But you're so soft people deliberately makes mistakes around you because you are not a leader" Everyone stares at Bella, shocked.

"Prepare a resignation letter if you dislike what I just said. But know, that is the truth"

Ai Mi looks at Haoran before she faced front and went to the receptionist to swipe in her check-in card.

"My office, now"

Ai Mi leaves to her spacious office with Zhi Ruo following from feets behind.

Haoran watches as Zhi Ruo's face squeezes up in pressure and fear for what just happened.

Immediately the door to Ai Mi's office shut close, everyone finally started breathing.

They had been holding their breath, thinking that even their breath could make unknown mistakes that will be very much known to Ai Mi.

"Shut up!" Bella nearly screamed!

Everyone in the designing department froze. Bella then turns to Haoran and says almost as a yell.

"Get to work and stop staring at me! It's because of people like you, that we department leaders get penalized!"

Haoran watches as she storms off with her hair bouncing with every step she took.

From there, his eyes diverts to the office of Ai Mi that is up.

She didn't do anything wrong, she even spoke for her, why the anger?

Ai Mi drops her bag on the desk in the office and takes her hat off, placing it also on the wide desk. Zhi Ruo stands at the door, not moving an inch.

After dropping her things on the desk, she walks to the large window in the office and stared out of it, trying to catch a wonderful view of Japan.

Her lips curl up in a mischievous smile.

Just as she opens her mouth to say something, her ears stood erect hearing the yell of Bella from downstairs.

"Get to work and stop staring at me! It's because of people like you, that we department leaders get penalized!"

Is she talking to Haoran? She better not be talking to him if-

"Who is she yelling at?" Ai Mi asks calmly

"Oh, let me take a look-"

"Don't!" She stops Zhi Ruo once more.

Zhi Ruo dared not to move an inch.

"Even if you know, I bet you don't know why"
