CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

“When Ocean first came to England, he wouldn’t stop talking about you. If it wasn’t for the fact that he had no ring on I would have thought, you were his wife or something.” He says and I choke on my own spit.

“Don’t tell me you guys married in secret?” he asks after a few seconds staring at me.

“Jesus, no, no. we are not married. We never even dated.” I answer him mortified at his comments.

I was starting to wonder what goes on in his mind.

“Ha!! then I am a million years old.” He says and laughs to his heart content.

I feel flustered by his statement.

“It’s impossible to be a million years old.” I say to him as a matter of fact.

“Exactly my point,” he says and I try making sense of what he said.

My line of thought is interrupted by Ocean’s voice.

“You saved me a seat Jay.” Ocean says placing his iPad on the seat next to mine.
