Presence (Lucifer x demon reader)

Y/N's POV

I walked down the RAD hallway towards the council room. Lucifer had asked me to go there after classes were finished. Once I arrived, I knocked on the door. No answer. So I opened the door, and looked inside.

"Lucifer?" I asked in the empty room. I didn't hear or see anyone. Before I could call out his name again, a hand touched my shoulder, causing me to jump.

"I apologize for scaring you, Y/N. I needed to get some papers from Lord Diavolo's office. Please, come in." Lucifer walked past me, and sat down at one of the chairs at the large table. I silently walked over, and moved one of the chairs closer to him.

"So, you just want me to sit here? I can help you with-"

"That won't be necessary. You're already helping enough by just sitting there. You can play around on your phone if you would like to. I just wanted you around since your presence calms me." He explained as he began working on one of the papers on the table. I blushed a little.

I felt my cheeks getting warmer, so I glanced away from Lucifer, and took out my phone. Someone had texted me. It was my best friend Damien.

I glanced towards Lucifer, who was still concentrating on his work. My cheeks flared at the idea of Lucifer confessing to me.

I chuckled at Damien's message. He's been like this since I first met him. Lucifer seemed to take notice of my little laugh, because he set down his pen.

"What are you laughing at?"

"Oh, just Damien being Damien again." I smiled as I looked back at my phone. He had sent me a selfie of him making a funny face. It took all of my effort not to break down laughing.

"I see..." Lucifer's voice was slightly agitated, but I didn't know why. I didn't want to ask in case he got even more angry.

I continued to text Damien, and we just joked around with each other. Mostly him teasing me about liking Lucifer, but I was already used to that.

"I'll be back. I have to go to the bathroom." I set my phone down, and left the room.

3rd POV

Lucifer gripped his pen a little bit tighter. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he was a little bit jealous of Y/N's relationship with Damien. They always seemed so close.

Just then, he noticed that the girl's phone screen was still on, and he could see some of the texts between the two of them. Even though it was a breach of privacy, Lucifer glanced at the texts on screen.

Lucifer felt two emotions as he read the texts. He felt relieved that she didn't have any romantic feelings for her friend. Second, he felt a little surprised that she liked him as much as he liked her.

Y/N's POV

I sighed as I walked back to the room. When I entered the room, Lucifer was sitting in the same place he was when I left, but there was now a smirk on his face.

"I'm back." I said as I sat down. I noticed that Damien had texted me while I was gone, and I responded.

"Y/N, I would like you to do something for me." Lucifer spoke. I was a little confused on why he suddenly wanted my help for something.

"Okay, what is it?"

"I want you to stand up, and close your eyes."

"....okay?" I did as I was told, and closed my eyes. I heard some shuffling from in front of me, most likely due to Lucifer standing up from his seat.

A few moments pass before I felt something soft on my lips. My eyes shot open as I saw Lucifer's face in front of mine, and noticed that he was kissing me.

I felt tense at first, but his kiss was somewhat intoxicating to me, so I leaned into his kiss. His arms traveled around my waist as me pulled me closer to him.

After a few minutes of pure bliss, we broke apart for air. Lucifer pressed his forehead against mine, and we were panting a little bit. He looked me in the eye as he spoke.

"Y/N, I'm in love with you." My cheeks felt warm again. I couldn't really think if anything to say, so I just gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"I'm assuming that means you love me as well. But if we want to continue this later, I need to finish up these papers first. So please be patient."  He kissed me one last time before sitting down. I slowly sat down, and grabbed my phone.
