When the twins noticed the sadness reflected in Cass' eyes, they quickly rose from their seats and positioned themselves next to him. Shaotian gently rubbed his back and inquired, "What's bothering you?"
Shaoren chimed in, "Why do you look so upset?"
Cass gazed into Shaoren's eyes and pondered, "If you cared about someone deeply, would you be willing to give up on them if saving their life meant constantly jeopardizing your own safety?"
Shaoren, with a furrowed brow, met Cass' gaze. Cass shifted his attention to Shaotian upon hearing a noise, only to find him peacefully asleep against the back of the couch.
Observing Shaotian, Cass bit his lip and heard a voice, "Look at me."
Cass turned to face Hades, locking eyes with him. Hades gently caressed Cass's cheek and questioned, "Is that why you wanted us to lead separate lives until I'm whole?"
