3.15 Entitlement

Cass walked to the confessional. He entered and took a seat. Valerian smiled at him and he smiled back.

The producer was about to ask her first question when Valerian did.

"How was your day?"

"Good, I had fun."

Valerian asked:

"What do you think of your chances for the first challenge?"

Cass said with certainty:

"I'll win. I must win."

He asked:

"Would you be disappointed if you didn't win, but took second or third place?"

Cass said:

"I collected every cover of Atom Wear's Xmas campaign. It was the only gift I would get for Xmas. There were no trees, decorations, or gifts. My mother would just get me that year's cover. Winning and becoming the face of the campaign would mean the world. If I didn't win, I would be more than disappointed."

Valerian swallowed with difficulty. His son has been through so much, he'll make sure to give him the best Xmas this year.

Valerian asked:

"Do you like Astra?"

"I do."

He inquired:

"As more than a friend?"
