Chapter 49

Laricus struggled to stand, and looked at the three of them, enraged, “HOW!?” He yelled in disbelief.

“We were close enough to hear Sargon say the Nexus was giving you power, scum.” Nymia sneered, “Jeremiah’s cords allow magic to flow through them, so he thought why not take your nexus from you. But in the meantime...” Her fists began to glow red as two knuckle dusters made of her blood magic formed.

“Why don’t you play with us, I mean we haven’t paid you back for all that help earlier on.” She said before launching herself towards him. Laricus quickly brought up his spear to block it, but he had put so much power into summoning the Nexus that his connection to it being broken left his own magic weakened. As Nymia’s fist made contact with his spear, the spear shattered in two as her fist drove through and slammed into Laricus’ chest, throwing him across the ground.
