Did You Find Anything?

Luthiel strolled down the hall and returned to the royal hall where the banquet was still ongoing.

He walked inside and made his way up the stairs to stand beside William, who had his legs crossed.

"What happened to her?" William abruptly asked.

"She got sick, so I took her back to her chamber," He replied, and slowly, William nodded his head.

"I see...Well, good news. My sister is finally engaged. " He said it with a big smile on his face, and Luthuiel, who had no idea how to react to it, stood motionless, no emotion visible on his face.

Damon walked back to his chamber once the banquet was over.

He pushed the door open and stepped inside to see Ayana seated on the chair with her legs crossed and an indifferent expression on her face.

"Did you find anything?" He asked as he closed the door and Ayana raised her head to look at him.

"Well, not that I found it exactly, but now I know where what we are looking for is."

She replied with a deadly smile on her face and, immediately interested, Damon hurried to sit on the chair beside her.

"Where?" He asked.

"Well, it's within Yennefer's chamber. I couldn't get in because of the guards, but I sensed the presence within her chamber."

She clarified, and Damon pinched between his brows.

"I knew this wouldn't be easy at all. How are we supposed to get into her chamber now? There are at least up to six guards guarding right?" He inquired, and Ayana nodded her head at him.

"Yes, And not just that, those two maids of hers are mostly inside whenever she is out. Today was our chance, and I could have gotten in, but... there was just no plan, and all I was able to do was find out where the presence was."

She sighed deeply, and Damon darted his eyes around in deep thought.

"Are you... really sure that it is in her chambers?" He asked, a bit skeptical.

"Would I lie to you? This is an important mission for us, so obviously you should know that I wouldn't lie about that."

She arched her brow at him, and Damon stroked his jaw in deep thought.

"I know you wouldn't, but something seems very off. His majesty locked it away, right?"

He asked, and Ayana slowly nodded her head, not sure what he was getting at.

"Well, the weird thing here is, why would he put Yennefer in that chamber, knowing very well that there is a possibility that she would release it? It... doesn't make sense to me."

He said, and now finding it quite weird, Ayana's brows scrunched.

"Wait, now that I think about it, it doesn't make sense at all. Is he planning something?" She asked, and Damon shook his head, completely clueless.

"I do not know. But if there is one thing I am sure of, it is that this emperor is more than just a goofy man. He is dangerous, and we need to be careful."

He warned, and Ayana, who completely agreed with him, furiously nodded her head.

"Mhm. So... What should we do? How do we get into her chamber?" She inquired, and Damon stayed quiet for a few moments before proceeding to talk.

"Well... tomorrow we try. She would be going for training with that general, right? So when she leaves, I will use magic and knock the guards and the maids out, then you do your thing."

He explained, and finding the plan to be perfect, Ayana nodded in agreement and stood up to make her way to her own chamber.

Yennefer furiously turned on the bed, and when she couldn't take the irksome voices ringing in her head anymore, she blinked her eyes open and sat up on the bed.

She groaned in annoyance and stepped down from the bed.

She walked towards the wall barefoot and placed her hand on it.

Intently, she began to feel it, knowing very well within her that if something was behind that wall, then there must be a way to get through.

But the question is how she will get through.

A frustrated breath exited her nose and an even darkened expression emerged on her face as the voice resounded over and over again in her head as though calling for help.

She let out a soft breath and began to look around the room.

If she recalls correctly, there is always a door handle or so, fixed in places that one's mind will not go to.

So, if she can find such, she will be able to proceed.

She bit her lower lip as she thought, and her eyes looked around the whole room, immediately stopping on the sword rack.

"Wait!" She immediately fluttered her eyes, recalling that the first day the voice came to her, this particular sword rack had been pushed to the floor by no one, so maybe... the way could be behind that sword rack.

A smile formed on her face, and she hurried towards the sword rack.

She pulled it away from the wall with quite some great effort and stared at the wall, immediately disappointed that there was nothing there.

"Seriously?" She asked herself and let out a deep breath.

If it's not here, then where could it be?
