Varya walked down the hallways of the hospital, using a route that would help her avoid people.
It took longer to get where she needed but it gave her more time to collect herself before she had to face the barrage of questions she was likely to receive when she was in front of her subordinates - particularly the prying advisors she normally met with a few times a week.
Without the communication systems available, her life had been quiet before the castle was infiltrated. She missed the quietness of not having to answer anyone.
Once they had to return to normal, she swore she would dedicate her time to figuring out the issue with the comms not working, but for now, she was enjoying what she could of a horrible situation that resulted in her son and guard being hospitalized.
