Dr. Salus pushed the cart to the side of Ebari's bed.
She felt bad that she had ruined a moment between the two emperors but what she could see of the blood on Ebari's shirt, she knew her interference was necessary.
"I apologize, but I'm going to have to turn on the light," Dr. Salus said.
Varya immediately jumped up to turn on the bedside lamps and Galen reacted quickly and turned on the overhead lights in the room.
"Much better, thank you," the doctor said. "Your highness, how are you feeling?"
The doctor sprayed her hands with some kind of antibacterial and put rubber gloves over her hands.
"I'm doing fine, doctor," Ebari said as if he hadn't been crying moments before. "I've been through far worse."
"If you don't mind removing your shirt for me, I can see what we're dealing with here," she said.
