"You can leave Mill, I will take it from here," Jael said, staring at Mill as he spoke.

"Oh," Mill responded, her expression telling nothing. "Of course, please call for me if you need anything."

She bowed slightly and began to retreat toward the door with her back.

Mauve tried not to look surprised at Jael's offer to feed her but Jael could tell she was. However, this was better for him than for her. He needed something to distract him from his thoughts.

He didn't want to leave her alone after what she just had to go through and by the look on her face she didn't want him to go either. However, being in her presence was getting harder and harder.

Jael moved so he was sitting on the edge of the bed. "You may leave, Mill," Jael ordered. "You can return after the second meal is over."

Mill nodded and bowed, she turned away from him and opened the door. She walked out and the servant slipped out behind Mill with his head bowed.
