"Mauve," Jael called as he threw the connecting door open. "Are you ready?"
Mauve nodded as she sat up from the bed, "Yes, I am."
She turned to look at Jael as he walked closer to her and felt herself grow warm. He was wearing a coat. Mauve realized she had never seen him wear a coat before. The most she has seen him in is a shirt, half the time he was usually gallivanting around her shirtless.
His boots made a slight sound as he approached her and she only heard it because she was listening intently. He didn't stop walking until he stopped in front of her.
"Mill really covered you up," he said and adjusted the scarf on her neck.
"Yeah," she said and leaned forward against the scarf, her gaze down. "She said it was going to be windy."
"She is not wrong about that," he said.
