Afterwards, we both took Axel for a gentle walk. Kristof grabbed my hand and led me around the property. It was rather large and mainly covered in a pine forest, making sense since the wolves could run around here without running into people or other problems. We spent an hour walking the perimeter and checking the fences. I learned that this is done daily, and pack members take turns.

"This is not usually my job," Kristof mentioned, "but I am giving Noah a break today. We can walk Axel and check the perimeter at the same time."

The conversation moved to Kristof's usual responsibilities. I learned that Kristof's pack was extensive and involved many families. It was one of the biggest packs in the area, with his father's kingdom being the largest in the world. His packhouse only housed a small group.
