The little girl now identified looked at him surprised, "D-do you know me?" she asked a bit afraid, it had only been an year since she came here and she wasn't used to anything. After all she was just a little girl who had been abruptly transported to a fantasy world from the time of the second world war, so it was much more surprising for her than it would be for someone living in the modern age as that concept wasn't- actually Galahad wasn't even sure 'isekai' was a thing back then.
He slightly smiled at her, "Leon was talking about...you." Loli Shizue was quite a cute creature, well at least he thought so. Leon raised his brow curious about what the hell Galahad was talking about? He didn't remember tell him that, "How-" Galahad cut him off, "Why do you...summon children?" he said in a voice that said he knew more then he was letting on. Leon's eyes widened before he shrugged and stood up, "I understand." he wasn't about to argue with Galahad. Why? Well Guy was a bitch, Milim was unpredictable and dangerous, and he had already contemplated killing Ramiris several times. Moral of the story? Don't mess with or try to understand the First Generation.
Turning around, he briefly looked at the little girl he had summoned and walked away. Galahad could stay here if he wanted it's not like Leon minded it. Shizue curiously looked between him and Galahad wondering what was going on here. Galahad looked at her and sighed, "Come here, Shizue." he said lazily alarming the girl who cautiously walked towards him. Maybe it was the guilt from Yuuki that drew him to her, Yuuki was a mistake Galahad understood that now, he wasn't going to dwell on it anymore. As a former hitman it was his greatest mistake that he had gotten attached to a target.
It was a mistake, and now that it had been made he couldn't do anything except try to fix it, since he had gotten attached now he would try his best to rebuild his relationship with Yuuki if given the chance if not and Yuuki became too much of a problem, his face turned cold for a moment startling Shizue since it was a sharp contrast from his previous approachable yet annoying look, he would.....remove Yuuki as much as he would regret it.
Galahad reached out his hand causing Shizue to close her eyes in fear before he smiled and patted her head making the girl stare at him with a mix of emotions, it was comfortable? Even Galahad was unaware of the fact that the reason people, especially humans were so attracted to him was that he was part angel and exuded a homely and kind yet fierce and destructive presence but the latter was usually suppressed most of the time since he wasn't a barbarian or a young master.
Galahad smiled and asked, "I know the order is wrong..... but what's your name?" she suffered a terrible fate in the anime, he had decided to raise her himself. Was it out of pity? No it wasn't, Galahad was unfamiliar with the concept of pity if it was so he wouldn't be famous for ruthlessly hunting his enemies down to the last man alive. She was to be his way of calming himself, a way to push back the incident with Yuuki, it would be his way of coping with the incident. A twisted manner of....redeeming himself. Oh he could pick up anyone from the street? Well who would you choose someone familiar and someonwhose suffering you know down to the last detail or a stranger (A/N: Don't hate me, if you read the flashbacks chapter you'd know why he regrets it. Also viewing this objectively, this is pretty deranged I'm sure some of you realized it.)
Shizue looked at him confused, didn't he already know her name? "S-Shizue Izawa." she said meekly, feeling his hand on her head. "Well Shizue.....I'll be adopting you." Galahad said, he wouldn't have it any other way. Leon didn't care anymore anyway he had left her be to do whatever she wanted. "But Lord Leon." she said moving backwards afraid as fire lit up besides her, Ifrit was too loyal this was technically against his Lord's orders as such the intruder would be removed!
Shizue started tearing up, Galahad was even if it was brief nice, she didn't want to kill him! The fir launched forward, "Nooooo!!" she shouted afraid, she was scared and started crying. Much to her surprise however somebody hugged her, Galahad smiled slightly, "I'm not....good with kids...so you'll have to forgive me for any shortcomings." he said in a calm voice. Meanwhile somewhere else, a certain Spirit of Light that looked like a certain Lion King was boxing with a fire spirit and beating the shit out of him, "Hmph! How dare you hurt a child! Also one Galahad adopted! I'lL KiLl yOu!" she shouted angry and smacked him with a baseball bat made out of light.
Shizue started sobbing in his embrace, she was a little girl! She was all alone here the only friend she made was killed by Leon after it went rabid, no one tried to console her! Everyone steered clear of her! "Y-You'll get h-hurt." she stuttered, making Galahad chuckled and patted her head, "Trust me....I don't think Ifrit can do...that." he said, not to be arrogant or anything but he was still one of the strongest beings on this planet you know.
Shizue was afraid of hurting him and also him but in the end she was a lonely child after a few moments she hugged him back and started crying loudly. Galahad's lips twitched and he almost yawned but stopped himself, kids may or may not be annoying and a pain but surely raising a kid might be fun too no?
After a few minutes of crying, Shizue finally calmed down and backed away slightly blushing seemingly embarrassed. Galahad stood up and cleaned his shoulder, "I-I'm sorry." she said still stuttering, Galahad was a stranger! But his presence was comforting? Galahad sat on a chair resting his head on the table and chuckled, "No...it's fine, now let's talk." Shizue looked at him confused, was he serious about adopting her? But adopting? seriously? Really? She was an orphan and five years old and was quite immature so she obeyed him and sat down beside him.
Following that was a long ass boring discussion about how Leon wasn't actually trying to hurt her and just that he was extremely bad at conversation. Of course the girl didn't believe him, how could that man?! But how he explained it made sense too but she wouldn't accept. Galahad looking at this chuckled children were entertaining, before groaning and standing up managing them was a pain. Shizue followed suit and stood up alongside him, she knew Leon didn't care about what she did and as Galahad put it, he had let her free after ensuring her survival to do what she wants.
Rein joined them, "Did you get what you needed Master?" she asked curiously looking at the child hiding behind her Master's leg, Shizue poked her head out and looked at Rein before again hiding behind his leg making Galahad smile, though there was one thing surprising she got accustomed to him too quick but he couldn't blame her she was still a child after all. Galahad looked at Rein and nodded, "Yes...we'll be staying here for a while....at least until the Hero comes here." Rein smiled contently, her Master's foresight was formidable! Fuck everyone who thinks otherwise! Yeah!
Galahad yawned and walked forward, first stop the dinner room! He wanted food! Dare he say his appetite matched Saber's except he could literally eat endlessly. He wanted to meet the Hero becasue the Hero being a time leaper should know what future him was up to, if there was one difference between him and the typical reincarnator or lazy person it was that he would never employ the technique, "I'll leave it to my future self." that was just asking for trouble, he would much rather remove all problems first and then laze around it contrary to popular belief, saved time too.
The Hero was a time leaper, while Galahad did have time paradox immunity meaning killing past him wouldn't affect future him at all it could still be used as a reference. Reaching the hall, they found Leon already there who once he noticed them started staring at the however sompletely unbothered by it Galahad took a seat across him, "Shizue you too." he said yawning looking at Leon whose lips were slightly curled up, Leon was relieved because the girl had found someone to care for her even though he didn't know much about Galahad he was a good man in Leon's books.
"But Lord Leon." she said but Galahad simply lifted her up and sat her down on a chair much to her embarrassment. "How did this happen?" Leon asked bluntly, he was curious as to what moved one of the heartless monsters. Galahad rested his head on the table and looked at him from the corner of his eyes, "I liked it so I took it." he responded before immediately realizing how wrong that sounded, "That sounds.....wrong." he said to himself.
Leon went back to his meal after signalling some maids to bring something to the two infront of him, "I didn't know you were into children." Leon commented and continued eating. Shizue looked at Galahad surprised before immediately covering herself up, she wasn't ready for that! Galahad bonked her head, "Kids shouldn't be.....having such thoughts." seriously what was wrong with people, he then looked at Leon, "Nice one, smart ass." he said chuckling. Leon nodded, this meant his sense of humor improved! An amazing feat if he may say so!
After eating a lot of food, surprising everyone else here Galahad stood up and walked away with Shizue and Rein behind him. Shizue slightly bowed to Leon and ran off making the Platinum Saber slightly smile, he was happy for her. Galahad curiously looked at Shizue, "So Shizue, you wanna learn to fight?" defending herself would be important even if he was going to be there he didn't want her to be a spoiled brat....okay he did. But still she needed to be able to defend herself!
She pumped her fist in conviction, "Umu! I'll be of use to you!" she said before blushing embarrassed with her words, while Galahad whistled so cool~! Only if the one who was saying it wasn't a loli. Galahad stretched his hands and yawned, it was time to make another swordsmaster like Yuuki- oh shit, don't think about it. And so started his and Loli Shizue's journey and time of living together in other words Galahad's try at being a father! The Rise of the Daughter of Sloth! Well that's how he saw it, he would treat her like his kin.
