"Marinette... Marinette is ladybug!!" You laughed to yourself. Marinette, or Ladybug, had just run away. You were left stunned on the floor, your legs sprawled out beneath you in a W shape. You found this whole situation amusing. Marinette had been forced to reveal her identity to you! Though, you slightly regretted not running after her, or not taking her happiness away as soon as possible. But, to be fair, you had no idea you had to be so alert around her. You never would never have guessed that she, of all people, would be ladybug... What a contrast in personalities.
You smiled and hummed happily with malicious undertones as you walked up the dark, gloomy stairs of the basement. You smirked as you slammed the basement door behind you. You knew police would be coming here soon; Ladybug would be able to tell them you're an akuma, and they'd most likely go searching for you. Ah; so you were like a wanted criminal now? Fun. You'd leave the chair with ropes and stuff to scare them.
You decided that you needed a disguise, since your normal identity would be wanted from now on. You decided a simple jacket, mask and jeans would do. You had one of those Japanese sick masks (A surgical mask), since you were into anime. You drew a cat mouth and blush onto it a while ago since you thought it would be funny. You had never worn it until now. You took a black hoodie and some rosewood pink pants. You also took some running shoes. You went over to the mirror and transformed into your shadow form. Once again, the clothing disappeared and only the outline of your body appeared, but it still felt and looked as if you were wearing things. It was sort of like you were wearing one of those body-tight suits Ladybug wore... Eh, whatever.
You started to walk away from the mirror, before seeing something purple beside you. You glanced back to see the paper that had been akumatized was in your back pocket, and, as the clothes were transparent, you could clearly see the paper. You let out a sigh. Way too obvious! Now, how would you fix this...? You let out a sigh as you turned back to your normal appearance.
You got an idea, then rushed to the bathroom and got the first aid kit. You never used it, but it had a use now. You got a plaster, ripped off the white bit, and then replaced it with your paper. You then rolled up your sleeve and stuck it just above your wrist, on [non-dominant] hand. It'd be easy to defend, since you could move it away from someone threatening to take it quickly. You turned back to shadow mode to see it had worked; the plaster had the same pitch black shade as the rest of your body! Though, no mist radiated off that specific spot, and it had a slightly obvious outline, but it was the best you could get.
You were pretty sure Marinette would still be freaking out about now, but what if she had come to her senses? Ladybug would get the police to ambush you, but Marinette would freak out... You should probably escape before Marinette figured out what she had to do. You left everything behind, as you could easily come back to it later. You exited through the window, floating to the rooftop and then jumping from to a more secluded area. Once again, no one noticed you, luckily.
"Y/n, what are you doing?" A familiar voice rung in your ears. Ah; Hawkmoth! Finally, you were waiting for him to contact you! You could see the purple butterfly's light around your eyes. You quickly hid between two chimneys, then sat down.
"Hawky! Well, I'm running away. I sort of let my identity slip, aha..." You laughed sheepishly. You heard a growl emerge from Hawkmoth's throat.
"So, this was all for nothing! You should have just done this from the start!" He yelled. You let out a laugh at his impatience.
"Don't you remember? My powers were trash at the start. I feel they can still be enhanced, so until then, I'll be laying low. Also, it wasn't for nothing! The person who found my identity was Ladybug, and in exchange, I found hers~" You smirked deviously.
"You... You did what?! What is it?!" He growled viciously. You rolled your eyes.
"Patience, Hawky. Before I reveal this, I sort of want to know... Why? Why are you trying so hard to get the miraculous? I have no motive for this whatsoever; maybe just for the thrill, but that's about it. I want to know why I'm doing this." You spoke. A small moment of silence came from the man. You decided to lighten up the conversation, "I mean, my guess was always that you're a Chat Noir slash Ladybug fanboy, and you want to combind them! Fusion!"
"What?! No! I'm not a fanboy!!" He growled. You let out a laugh. You then waited for his next words. He let out a sigh and continued, "...If you get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, you are able to make a wish, and it will be granted. I'd like to make one."
"And that wish is...?" You pushed for more information.
"...I want to bring someone back. That's all I'll say." Hawkmoth spoke through gritted teeth. He tried to omit as much as possible, as you were still not a full akuma and might remember this afterward. He couldn't risk telling you anything.
"Oh. That's actually a much more decent reason that I thought. Well; now that I'm all motivated..." You got up and stretched, pausing your speech for a moment, "I'll go get those miraculous for you!"
"That's good; but remember your side of the promise. Who is Ladybug? And how did she find out who you were?!" The man said sternly. Ah; you forgot about that.
"Oh, right! Well, I went to borrow my friend's homework, so I went up to her room and then I accidentally switched forms. She saw me, so I knocked her out, took her to my basement and tied her to a chair." You explained nonchalantly.
"Y-You did what..?" Hawkmoth gulped. How could you say that so... normally?
"You heard me, I kidnapped her. Just so she wouldn't tell anyone while her happiness was draining. Then I was about to steal her happiness, but she decided to turn into Ladybug and run away." You shrugged. Hawkmoth grumbled angrily.
"Yes; but you're missing one very important point... Whoshe?"
"Ah, well, drumroll, please~!" You smirked. You heard nothing. "Well? Drumroollll~?? Come on, just do it on your lap or something."
"...You're ridiculous." He huffed, doing a lap-drumroll unwillingly. You smiled brightly.
"Iiiit's... Marinette Dupain Cheng!" You smiled brightly as he stopped his drumroll.
"...What? She's a clumsy dunce. How could be ladybug?!" The man spoke through gritted teeth.
"Yeah; I thought the same. But I see a lot of connections, she's always late, she's never around when Ladybug is... Plus, the miraculous or whatever has got to enhance her skills. Well, she's actually pretty quick thinking, I think the miraculous enhances her confidence, so she's a little better with trusting herself and her decisions, maybe with her movements too." You explained
"...Are you sure?"
"Absolutely positive. Trust me, Hawky~"
"Fine, fine. It does connect, slightly..." He admitted.
"Hooray, you believe me! Anyway, I'm going to go search for some whisps. I've got a goal to achieve now. I've been motivated, so I'll get those miraculous." You smirked deviously, turning into your other form mid-speech out of excitement. You noticed your voice became slightly more demonic and threatening.
"...Good." Hawkmoth said finally, his voice shutting off and the purple butterfly outline disappearing. You smiled and decided to collect some more whisps. You let out a sigh and closed your eyes, then summoned as many whisps as you could. You went from the group's point of view and rushed off to find a large group of people.
You were searching around for a while, as the area you were currently in was pretty much deserted. You eventually found a large group of people at the park. You were about to attack, when suddenly, you felt something wrap around your wrist. You snapped out of whisp vision to see Ladybug had thrown her yo-yo around your arm. She dragged you forward as you called your whisps back to your location. They weren't too far away. Before Ladybug could drag you close enough, multiple whisps zoomed after her back.
"Watch out!" Another voice yelled, pushing Ladybug out the way, and in the process untangling you from her yo-yo. You quickly jumped back, your whisps surrounding you. Chat Noir had just saved Ladybug, as always...
"Y/N, stop! Please; we can work this out!" Ladybug yelled, still spinning her yo-yo in circles as a defence, just in case you decided to launch your whisps at her. Chat Noir's eyes widened considerably. He slowly looked toward you in shock.
"You're... Y/N? But that's impossible! I saw Y/N the other day; while the attacks had been going on! A-And, nothing matches up! You were around, and perfectly normal when those attacks happened!" He yelled in disbelief.
"Oh? You know me? So, you know Marinette?" You said deviously, glancing at the female beside him. Ladybug's yo-yo stopped spinning in circles as her eyes widened. She shrieked nervously, though somehow it was quiet. "But nevermind that! And, I can turn back to normal and to this at my will. I arranged it so I never seemed suspicious."
"Y/N, I'm guessing you're not fully akumatized, which is why this is going on... But please, we can help you!" Ladybug yelled in desperation. You rolled your eyes.
"Ugh, how cheesy... Keep saying that all you want; I've got a goal to achieve here." You smirked, getting in a fighting stance. "But, you know, I'm not exactly ready for this battle just yet, so bye~!" You smirked, jumping backward and off the roof. You made sure to float at the last moment. You couldn't float for too long, sadly. You heard the two yell in shock as you fell. Before they could look over the edge, you flew off and out of sight. As you flew, you saw various people simply walking by and stole their happiness with your whisps, slowing down as you did. It was really hard to concentrate on all these things at once, so you didn't absorb the white whisps just yet.
You eventually ran out of black whisps, and absorbed all white ones, stopping flying to do so. You let out a satisfied sigh before rushing off once more, but not flying. Flying was sort of hard, as well as draining... Though, with more whisps, you'd get better at it.
You had gone in a circle. You were in the deserted area once more. You heard the sound of police sirens in the distance and quickly slinked into an alley. The car went past, many others following. Hm, you wondered what that was about... Unless they were going to your house. Then that'd make sense. You let out a sigh and slid down the wall. You then fell to the floor and leaned back.
You changed back to your normal form and checked your phone to see it had exploded with texts. You let out a sigh and threw it aside after glancing at a few of the texts. It slid under a trash can. It'd be tracked, so it wasn't smart to have it on you. You got up and patted your clothes, then ran off. So, you were a criminal now...
That's nice.
