41(Part 2)

"Dude she's a kid" I say looking at Michael as he ties the little girl up

"Shut up!"

"Please just let me go" the little girl cries trying to resist

I leave the room Michael following not far behind, I let a breathe out knowing he is leaving the room also, I don't know what I got myself into helping him

"Why'd you take that little girl?" I ask turning to face him

"Its none of your business" he spit grabbing a cigarette

"Well it is cause I helped you abduct her from school" I say through grit teeth

"It's personal" he says shoving past me and out the door

"But what you should know is" he says turning around "is that if she is gone when I get back I'm coming for you" he says flicking the ashes to the ground

I sit in the chair putting my head in my hands

I grab my phone to see a picture of my girlfriend and our daughter on my lockscreen

I pull up to the precinct and park, I walk in going to the front desk Antonio said that both Kennedy and Gabi would be here

"Uh hello I am looking for my daughters my son said they would be here" I say and the lady at the front desk looks at me

"What are their names?" She asks

"Gabriella and Kennedy Dawson" I say

"Oh Mr. Dawson i will buzz you right up, if you can go to that gate" she says and I rush to the gate and she let's me in

I walk up the steps and I freeze at the top to see Hank Voight, I keep forgetting that he runs this unit

"Who let you up?" He says raising his voice causing everyone to look between us

"The nice lady at the front desk" I say not moving but he was walking towards me

"Get out of my office!" He yells stopping in front of me

"I came to be with my daughter" I say trying to step past him but he puts his arm out stopping me

"No you're going to leave and never come ba-"

"Hank!" I hear a voice from behind him, I look to see Kennedy

"Let him through" she says her eyes puffy and red her voice going soft at the end

He puts his arm down and I walk past but feeling him staring at me as I walked towards my 2 daughters

"Hi pops" Gabi says hugging me "where's mom?" She asks

"She is on her way back, she was out of town visiting her mother" I say looking between my kids

"Hi pops" Antonio say giving me a quick hug

"Do we know anything yet?"

My dad and Hank have been glaring at each other ever since my dad got here and it is honestly annoying me right now

"Dad c'mon" I say gesturing him to follow me, I saw Hank just go into his office I want to get to the bottom of this

I open his office door and push my father in and follow behind closing and locking the door

"Ok you two need to squash this right now if we are going to find Ryan" I say

"Kid"

"Kennedy"

They both speak at the same time looking at me

"No!" I yell "you two are part of my life big time and I hate that right everytime you see each other you have a stare down"

"Hank the reason I'm forgiving my dad is because you always said go home, work things out with your dad and family" I say pointing at my dad "you wanted me to go home and work things out with him and now look at you, you're getting mad that I am finally listening to you, I get why you're mad about this and you voiced it earlier but this is my decision I'm choosing to forgive him cause im a different person from when I was younger" I say

"You told her to come home?" My dad speaks up and Hank nods his head

"I wanted her to not grow up despising you cause I've seen the same thing happen with me and my father and when he passed away I regretted not fixing it all" he says he never talked about his dad and their relationship, I knew only cause he told me that exact story hoping I'd go home and fix things with my dad

"The reason I yelled earlier was because I just didnt want to see her get hurt again she's already been through alot these past few months" Hank says

"I want to thank you for trying to look out for me but I'm ok now" I say sitting on the arm rest of the couch

"You kicked my ass back to school and now I'm almost a certified doctor" I say

"Thank you Voight" my dad speaks up putting his hand out for Hank to shake

"Thank you for taking care of her all those times I didnt" he says and Hank shakes his hand

"Its all good she grew into an amazing women" he says smiling

"She did" my dad says

"We have a lead" Alvin says popping his head into the office

We rush out

"9-1-1 got a call saying he saw a black truck that was in front of the school force a little girl in, he followed and said they went towards the pier but he lost them after that" Adam says

"Ok is that all?" Hank asks

"He also said it was to male figures not just Michael so he has an accomplice" Kim speaks up

"It could it be his brother" I say "Michael has a younger brother but I don't know if he is still in town" I add

"What's his brothers name?" Kevin asks

"Reid Galloway" I say

"Ok" Kevin says running to his computer and typing in his name

"His current address is 5369 Harbour drive(made up street)" Kevin says turning his monitor screen to face us

"Atwater and Ruzak go to the house, Burgess and Olinksy go question the witness" Hank says and they nod grabbing their coats and leaving

"And Dawson, Halstead this is personal for both of you so you two are going to be staying here" Hank says and they nod their heads not wanting to argue with him

"Ken why dont we go back to the apartment?" Jay says and a shake my head

"Kennedy go home, is she gets away she might try go home" Antonio says and Jay nods his head agreeing

"Fine" I say straighten out my shirt I grab my jacket and Jay walks out with me

We get home and I quickly park before running into the building

"Hi Marc has Ryan gotten back here?" I ask the worker at the desk

"No I am sorry miss" he says I head towards the elevator with Jay beside me

I get to the apartment and throw my stuff on the table beside the door and slip my shoes off

We sit on the couch and I start crying feeling helpless right now just sitting here

"It'll be fine Ken" Jay says pulling me into his body

"How do you know?" I ask sitting up

"Cause she had the best unit in Chicago looking for her" Jay says as I hear a knock, I rush to the door and open it to a note on the ground

I open the note

I re-read the note over and over, there was no signature and I didnt know who's hand writing it was either

"Kennedy what is it?" Jay asks

"A note saying where Ryan is" I say as Jay rushes to grab his phone

"Hey we got a lead" he says and puts it one speaker

"Really?"

"It says shes in a boat house at harbor pier" I blurt out

"Atwater and Burgess are on their way" I hear Voight says

"Thank you Hank" I say "thank you all for everything" I say

"Don't thank us just yet" Hank says "you wait till that little girl is back with you" he says

We rush to the precinct

We rush up the steps to see Kevin and Kim

"I'm sorry Kenny it was a dead end" Kevin says and I collapse but Jay catches me
