So I have this theory, while fate has no grip on him anymore, destiny should since unlike fate which is a predetermined event, destiny is more of a promise about a time and place, with no outcome determined. Like saying Thanos would come to earth (which would be destiny) and him always snapping the finger (being fate). (An example, obviously not set in stone in this fic)
