Your eyes confused me

"I don't think I can work with Junwei," Sophie said as she wore another pair of heels.

"Then, do you want to return him a hundred million dollars?" Ciao Hong asked.

"I won't be giving him any money," Sophie said.

"Mr. Yu did catch you at the right time, but then–" Ciao Hong paused and furrowed his brows together.

"And the next second, he let me go. He could have straightened me up. But no! He threw me to the ground!" Sophie said annoyingly and got up from the couch. She whined in pain because her back was hurt. "I want to go home," she said and looked for her designer bag. She picked it up and walked out of the room.

Ciao Hong and the members of her team followed her out.

"I will inform Mr. Yu about our departure," Ciao Hong told Sophie and asked her to wait.

"There is no need to do that," Sophie said and headed toward the elevator. "He does not even care if we exist here. All he does is be bossy all the time," she muttered.

Ciao Hong shook his head and decided to drop a message to Junwei's secretary, Wang Zexi. They stopped by the elevator and Sophie pressed its button multiple times.

"It's on a lesser floor. We need to wait," Ciao Hong stated.

Sophie turned to the VVIP elevator, which was for Junwei and the top executives in the company. Ciao Hong asked her to stop, but she did not. The team was worried thinking whether they had to suffer because of Sophie and Junwei's fight.

Sophie stepped into the VVIP elevator and asked them to get in if they wanted. "Else you all can wait for the other one," Sophie said. Everyone from her team including Ciao Hong stepped into the elevator.

Sophie stepped up to close the elevator on the ground floor when she saw Junwei coming in the same direction. She kept pressing its button so that the doors would shut close soon.

"What are you doing, Sophie?" Ciao Hong asked her not to do so, but she did not listen to him.

She smiled when the doors almost shut. However, the smile disappeared the next second because the doors opened. Junwei had brought his shoe between the doors before it could get close.

Sophie widened her eyes when Junwei stepped inside and she withdrew her hand from the panel. Wang Zexi was stunned to see so many people inside the elevator, which was for Junwei's and the company's top executives' use.

"Wang Zexi, please show the other elevator to everyone except Miss Lin," Junwei said.

Ciao Hong looked at his team and they quickly got out of the elevator. Sophie asked them to come inside and not to be scared of Junwei.

"Sorry, Sophie," Ciao Hong said.

Junwei pressed the ground floor button on the panel. Sophie thought to run out when Junwei grasped her wrist. She tilted her head to look at him and as soon as the doors closed, she was pinned to the glass wall of the elevator behind her.

"Leave my hand," Sophie said, keeping her chin up.

"I won't," Junwei affirmed.

"You made me fall. I will tell your mother and Grandpa Yu about this," Sophie threatened him.

"You can do that," Junwei said and looked into her eyes. While he was in his cabin office, he kept thinking about the eyes. He has seen them before! "Have we ever met before?" Junwei asked her.

Sophie was astonished by his question. She kept staring at him and turned silent for a while.

"Answer me," Junwei said while staring into her eyes.

"No," Sophie lied to him and tried pushing him away. "Will you let me go?" she arched a brow at him. There was no use in telling him who she was when he completely forgot her. She was a fool to believe that a young 18 years old boy would remember when they would grow up and encounter each other.

Junwei hardly used to have such strong intuitions. He knew well that he had seen those eyes earlier. Never once his intuition had taken him to a wrong conclusion.

"Let me go, Junwei," Sophie again said and he released her hands. Taking a step back, he slid his hands into his pockets.

"You are a grown-up, Sophie. So, I want you to act like one. I hope you do not try to do something which involves us," Junwei stated. His tone was calm now.

"You intentionally made me and my team wait for you. That's why I went out for a walk. I cannot refuse if any of my fans ask for an autograph," Sophie said.

"It's an office not a fan ground for you," Junwei proclaimed.

"I won't do it anymore," Sophie said.

"Grandpa and Mom want to see you in the evening," Junwei informed her. "I will call you in the evening. Make sure no one sees you. I don't want anyone to spread false rumors about us. You have already created so many troubles for me," he muttered while putting the blame on her for the recent days' problems.

Sophie didn't argue back this time. "I apologize. I didn't intend to do that," she stated.

Junwei was perplexed to hear her answer. He thought she would fight back with him, but the opposite happened.

They had finally reached the ground floor and the elevator's door opened.

Sophie stepped out of the elevator, followed by Junwei. He pressed the button on the panel for the elevator's standby mode.

"Do you have to say something to me?" Sophie asked him.

"Did you get hurt?" Junwei's out-of-the-blue question surprised her.

"If someone is thrown with such a huge force, anyone will get hurt," Sophie answered.

"Your eyes confused me. I thought I had seen them somewhere," Junwei said.

"What do you mean?" She got curious. Did he finally remember her?

"Sophie!" Ciao Hong called out her name and she turned her head in the direction where Ciao and other team members were present.

Wang Zexi came toward Junwei and stood next to him.

"My secretary will call Miss Lin's manager if we need something," Junwei stated and turned to step back into the elevator.

Wang Zexi smiled at all of them and stepped into the same elevator as Junwei. The doors gradually closed while Junwei and Sophie kept their gazes on each other.
