Fuck the summer is already almost done? "Uh...sure?" My eyes widen in confusion while looking at Wanda. "Umm what time do you want me to come?" Wanda crosses her arms in content because she wanted to spend the rest of the day not alone but now she just might have to be. "Uhh why don't you come over in about two hours. I have to clean up the house or else May won't let you come over. Oh! And be sure to bring an empty stomach. May wants to cook up a big meal for us tonight."
Now I'm even more unsure of what to do. "Uhm can I...can I bring a plus one?" I don't want to leave Wanda alone but I'm not sure how to introduce her to Peter and May...fuck maybe I shouldn't had live stream the battle of Sokovia to the world. "You have a plus one? Uh...sure May doesn't see what's wrong with that." A smile grew on Wanda's face as she saw that she won't have to spend the day alone at the Avengers compound. "Okay. I'll see you in a few hours. Want me to bring my sets of Lego? Haven't had the chance to build them with all these muscles and gains I got over the summer!" I grunt into the phone while putting in my best pro wrestler voice. We both broke into laughter before ending the call.
I look up at Wanda before pulling her into my arms. "So...do you want to meet my family?" I gently brush her hair out of the way while she rests her head on my chest. "I thought you live alone? Are we going somewhere else?" Now it's her turn to blush and turn red as she wasn't expecting me to pull her in for a hug. Our development might be a bit fast but I don't see any other way how we could develop such a thing. "Yes. Peter lives about a 10 minute bus ride from here. We're not related but he and his aunt see me as part of their family. Inside of America, I don't really have anyone else besides them." She wants to look into my eyes but is also too shy and embarrassed to keep eye contact. "Your family...did they-" Even though she can't look at me now her fingers are digging into mine to find warmth and comfort. "Yes...well not all of them. It was just my mom that passed away. But it's with her passing that eventually lets my father back on his path of vengeance and violence..."
"Wait, I thought you already knew about this when I allowed you to see into my head." I open up my hand to allow her to intertwine our fingers together. "I... I didn't get to see much. I only saw that you had a crush on me and have good intentions for the world." She turns a slight shade redder as our palms begin to get a little wet and slippery. "Oh I see...then shall I tell you about my birth family? We do have a few hours to kill before going over to see Peter." I plant a kiss on her forehead. "Yes please. I know that, you know a bit about me but I don't even know as much about you." I let out a chuckle while rubbing her back. "That's a lot of knows you just said there. Anyways where should I start? Uhm....well my father is probably one of the oldest living human beings in this world. He is an enhanced individual like you and I but his powers come from these extra-dimensional devices that he found over a thousand years ago."
"He never told me much about his past but I've gathered some clues here and there while growing up. He is the very reason why Tony Stark stopped being a merchant of death and became the hero that he is today. It's because of my father's organization and their actions that caused Tony to change his ways after seeing the destruction of his own weapons being used against him. Now I'm not sure if my father truly ordered the hit on Tony or not because if he did, Tony would never have gotten the chance to survive and become Ironman. All I know is that before I was born, my father disbanded his organization when he and my mother got together...."
"Now my mother....well somehow she's even more complicated than my thousand years old dad." I chuckle a bit as Wanda looks up at me with a little confusion. "How can it be more complicated than having a dad who's age is even older than some of the most powerful countries in the world?" She runs her thumb over the back of my hand as our palms continue to get heated and sweaty. "Well uhh well she's not from this world. She's an alien but she's also not an alien...everything about her is human. She looks, behaves and works like a human but she's not from our world. Growing up my mother would tell me and my brother stories of her world and all the magical creatures that her people protect and live in harmony with. I would love to actually visit my relatives there one day but from what I can remember, they're very superstitious people who aren't welcoming of outsiders. The village that my mother grew up in can only be accessed through a very difficult to find portal. And that portal sealed within an enchanted forest. With there being only one path that will safely lead the entrance of the forest into the portal. Any other path will only end in death and misfortune." Wanda's eyes widened from my retelling of the tale.
"Well that's what she said anyways. I don't know how much truth there is to that since I used to always be a man of science...well that was until I discovered magic. Now...now I can just open a portal to that realm whenever I want to." I crack a smile as I jiggle my left hand and sling ring in front of her. Wanda breaks into a smile before resting her head on my chest once more. I gently rub the back of my finger against her cheek "What? Are you getting scared from a childhood tale?" I start to laugh more as she begins to sniff and nuzzle against my shirt. "I-I'm not scared. You are!" She rubs her head into my chest playfully. I guess she has never had a chance to allow her child self to grow up just like me. Now that she's a little more comfortable with me, I just might be the only person that has ever gotten the privilege to see this side of her. "Wanda it's okay if you're scared. I'll always try my best to be there whenever you feel afraid. Plus I don't think we'll ever have to go through the forest anyway since I don't plan on going back to visiting my family for a while."
"You don't miss your family Ned?" Wanda reaches up to grab on to my left arm as she begins to slowly trace her fingers on my skin. "Oh I miss them everyday. There is not a day that I don't regret not staying with my family. If I could give it all away just to be with them again I would but i-it's just...well it's just I don't know what I'd say when I do see them again. On the night that my mother died I ran away from home. I had a vision when I was much much younger and saw that my happy family household would come crashing down the day that my mother passes away. Well on that night, my father's enemies from his past showed up on my front door seeking revenge. They were just some gangsters that my father would have easily dealt with but he had gone away that day. My siblings and I could do nothing but watch in fear and tears as our mother tries her best to protect us. Instead of being paralyzed in fear like my older brother and little sister. I chose to run away… I know that there are things I must do if I want to try and save what's left of my family."
"There's not a day that goes by that I don't miss my family. It's just...well I don't ever feel like I have the time to mourn over my mother's passing and I can't face my siblings for abandoning them. Even as a child I knew there was many many things I have to do and accomplish in this world within a few years. And every year a new thing is added on to my list with my deadline coming closer and closer" Wanda lets go of my arm to reach up and touch my face with both of her hands. She backs away from my neck and plant a kiss on my lips. I lift her up as I make her sit on top of my lap with one hand wrapped around her waist while the other hand begins to slowly rub her back. I don't know what is happening around us or the world but I do know that we're both locked in the sensation of each other as our lips touch and taste one another. The room begins to steam up as our bodies become hotter and hotter. I want to stop this because I don't feel ready but I don't want to stop myself either. Wanda begins to rock her hips on my lap as lil Ned starts to stand up like a gentleman. It has been over a lifetime since I've last done anything like this. Hell I haven't even gotten the chance to beat myself since I've been too busy trying to gain powers in this playthrough.
Growing more and more impatient from my lack of direction and initiative she summon some of her powers using her fingers. The energy guides my hands down to her thighs as if she wants me to take off her dress. I pull back away from the our kiss and let out a chuckle as I rest my forehead on to her's. "Not yet. You still gotta buy me dinner before we can do that." I chuckle and plant a kiss on her cheek before my eyes widen. She puts on a pouty face because she's getting mad for not getting what she wants, however my concern isn't that. Behind her, my TV is displaying the time. It's already almost three in the afternoon. "Ah fuck we're going to be late, Wanda." I grab on to her waist with my hand and third leg as support before I stand up on my feet. "Then let's make them wait-" She lets out a soft weak breath of air as she wasn't expecting that. I gently set her down on the floor before rushing into my room to grab some stuff. After a few minutes of rummaging around I finally come back out with my backpack full of neatly organized Lego pieces. I see her standing my the door with a look of shame at herself and irritation at me. I take a deep breath and slowly walk up to her. I gently grab on to her hand as she tries to move it away from me.
"Hey, I'm sorry we couldn't do what you want. Can we take what's in between us slowly? I don't want to rush into this too fast. But I promise you I'll make it worth your patience." I bring her hand up to my face so I can kiss her fingers. Looking into her eyes she seems to be a little happier now but she's still a whirlpool of emotions now that the euphoric high of us being together is fading away. "Promise?" She looks at me with a little hope. "Promise." I plant a kiss on her forehead once more before we put on our shoes to walk out of the door.
"Wait you're not going to portal us there?" She looks around the street corner as we're waiting for the next bus to arrive. "No not really. Peter and May don't know that I have magic powers. Hell they don't even know that I have spider powers, let alone magic. Plus this allows me to pretend bring a regular person again." I smile at her before giving her hand a gentle squeeze. She nods her head, trying to make sense of my reasoning. Not long after the bus arrives and after a couple of minutes we finally arrive at Peter's apartment. "Remember they don't know that we have powers. So do your best to not read their minds or show off any red energy okay?" I plant a kiss on her cheek before walking into the lobby. I pull in my spider senses into my body as well as steeling my mind to show Wanda what to do. The short elevator ride felt like an eternity as we slowly climb up the floors of the building. Maybe it's just me being nervous but I swear it's like time was slowing down for me. Once the elevator doors open, I take in a deep breath before stepping out to walk towards Peter's unit. Wanda could probably tell that I was nervous. If she couldn't tell by my breathing pattern then she definitely could with how sweaty my palms are getting. I reach out with my free hand to knock on the door. Before we had to wait for long, the door swing open with Peter and May shooting confetti in our faces. "SURPRISE!!!"
