We went shopping the moment everyone was awake. The goal was to buy beds. Just bed for now so that the three adults with me have a place to sleep other than a damned sleeping mat.
"It wasn't so bad," Fujin said he was riding shotgun while Colin navigated the car. "I have slept in the worst places. The place you gave at The Belle was the best place I have-"
He stopped when he saw me glaring at him. Colin was doing his best not to laugh, the same with Duncan and the kids.
I was lost for words with these men. They have lived for so many years yet their houses! Ugh! Who would have thought that these three would be happy to lie on a cold hard floor? I sigh. They were warriors, that's why. I have read a lot about them in the past. They were immortals, gods, but at the very core, they have yet to get used to the new ways.
Duncan kissed the back of my hand and told me, "Do'no' worry, lass, okay?"
~~~~~~
"That was quick."
