Chapter 529: Defeating the Death Eaters (Edited)

"Roarr!"

(=`Д′=)

Seeing that he was almost there, Fish decided to unleash another snowstorm, and once again the rain poured down, obscuring his and Voldemort's silhouette.

"Hmm?"

Voldemort frowned as he quickly applied a water and fire invulnerability spell, and with the silver shield hovering over his head, the cold rain and snow didn't bother him too much.

"Those tricks are useless." He said casually...

He then quickly switched positions with his Apparition.

What Voldemort didn't know was that Fish had used his hearing, his smell and the [Wild Mark] he had added later to pinpoint his position.

After a few moments of waiting and finding no response from Fish, Voldemort spoke again, "You do realize that if this stalemate continues, it will be you who loses, Fish?"

With that, he cautiously shifted his position before continuing, "With an unbreakable Vow, you can't escape, so how about you admit defeat?"

Voldemort's tone relaxed and he shifted position again.

"It would be a shame if I killed you by mistake."

After the fourth change of position, Voldemort stopped talking and kept a careful watch around him, alert for Fish, who could come out at any moment.

What Voldemort didn't know, however, was that while he was ranting, Fish had crept up to the edge of the snowstorm, very close to Barty Crouch Jr. who stood at the front of all the Death Eaters.

Fish crouched close to the grass, letting the snow and rain he had summoned hit him, his green eyes fixed on Barty Crouch Jr. who was not far away.

[Stride] [Freedom of Movement] [Leopard's Swiftness] [Gallop]

?(=??ω??=)?

The moment Fish stepped out of the rain, he added a [Moonfire] spell to prevent the fake Moody from escaping with that annoying spell.

"Roar!"

"Ahh!"

The white moonlight fell on Barty Crouch Jr.'s body, making him scream.

Immediately after, Fish's silhouette flashed in front of him and, with a terrible hiss, bright red tiger claws slammed into Barty's side.

There was a cracking sound as Barty Crouch Jr.'s right arm twisted at an odd angle and flew off to the side with a burning smell.

After knocking down three unfortunate Death Eaters, he joined the ones he had knocked out earlier, lying in a heap on the ground, completely motionless.

"Roarr!"

?(=`Д′=)?

After pushing Barty Crouch Jr. out of the way, Fish didn't stop and continued to pounce on the other Death Eaters.

With Fish's [Animal Intimidation] and [Demoralizing Roar], the Death Eaters could barely defend themselves, and many of them couldn't even hold their wands steady.

At that point, Fish was a "tiger in a herd," and in the blink of an eye, half of the remaining Death Eaters were knocked out.

But good Fish was merciful, and apart from Barty Crouch Jr. posing as Moody, the others would have had at most a concussion and a few superficial wounds, and someone like Lucius, whom Fish knew, would have been a little more forgiving.

As for Peter Pettigrew....

The man had turned rat and gone into hiding, so Fish couldn't find him for a while.

While Fish was making the Death Eaters flee, Voldemort in the rain was beginning to sense that something was wrong....

The silver shield over his head hadn't rung for a while now, and at first he thought Fish was trying to ambush him, but on second thought it didn't seem right, using those two spells wouldn't reveal Fish's direction, but would distract him.

"No!"

Voldemort thought that Fish, with his childish temper, would probably ignore the unbreakable Vow and simply run away.

It was true that he had wanted to kill Fish before, but his death by his own hand and his death by breaking the unbreakable Vow were two different concepts, not to mention that the unbreakable Vow did not bind Harry Potter, his supposed nemesis.

Then Voldemort slipped out of the rain, and gawked....

The good news was that Fish did not escape.

The bad news was that his Death Eaters were lying all over the place, and there were very few left standing.

"You're looking for death! Fish McGonagall!"

Voldemort snarled, using his Apparition to flash in front of Fish.

"Roar!"

? (=`Д′=)?

Fish didn't hesitate when he saw that Voldemort had stopped in front of him instead of running away as before.

"Boom!"

The same silver shield blocked Fish's glowing red claws, but after taking a solid hit from Fish, the silver shield that originally glowed became much dimmer to the naked eye.

When Fish saw Voldemort push the shield away, he cast a [Moonfire] spell at Voldemort without a word.

However, Voldemort neither moved the shield over his head to protect himself from the spell, nor used his Apparition to avoid it, but silently applied a Protego Charm to himself and chose to resist it.

At the same time, the silver shield that Fish had slapped turned into a silvery liquid, sinking Fish's entire claw into it.

"Roar!"

∑(=ΦДΦ=)ヅ

Fish waved his claws in panic, but the silver liquid clung to his claws and formed a hard ball, no matter how much Fish scratched and bit, or attacked with [Flame Strike], [Moon Fire] or [Star Fire], all to no avail.

"Heh heh heh..." Even with the protection of the Protego Charm, the [Moonfire] spell was still hurting Voldemort once again, but he gritted his teeth and laughed, "I'm telling you for the last time, Fish, swear loyalty to me now."

"Roarr!"

(=`Д′=)=O

He was answered by Fish's claw, encased in a silver ball.

"Stubborn!"

Voldemort snorted, dodged Fish's attack with his Apparition and raised his wand.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Once again, his Killing Curse was dodged by Fish, but this time it was a bit clumsy due to the silver ball in his left paw.

"It's a pity you can't be of any use to me."

Voldemort said coldly, and then used the transfiguration spell plus Apparition plus Killing Curse once more.

After barely dodging a few Killing Curses, Fish realized that wasn't going to work and started trying to change into his smaller cat form to avoid Voldemort's Killing Curses.

"Nya!"

∑(=`Д′=)

Fish was wrong about one thing though, although he had gotten smaller, the silver metal ball on his left paw had not, and he had been unable to get his claws out because he had gotten smaller.

If he hadn't had the presence of mind to duck behind the silver ball, he would have been hit by the Killing Curse for that mistake.

But the good news was that he didn't seem to faint.

"Nyajajajajaja, this is the end of you nya!"

?(≧?≦?)?

Fish returned to his human form, pulled out his wand and said to Voldemort.

"Oh?" Voldemort stopped his attack with interest, "If you have any more tricks up your sleeve, use them."

Of course, he had noticed that Fish hadn't changed into his other forms since he had become a tiger, and he had already guessed Fish's fears based on the information Barty Crouch Jr. had sent him.

Now that Fish hadn't fainted, Voldemort was curious as to what Fish was up to....

Besides, Fish pulled out his wand at that moment, obviously wanting to use the spell to compete with him.

If it had been a special spell, Voldemort would have been wary, but when Fish drew his wand, he was not so eager.

Voldemort did not believe that Fish, a fourth-year wizard under Dumbledore's gentle tutelage, would be able to outwit him in the normal wizardly way, so now he is watching Fish struggling eagerly watching a play.

Voldemort then saw Fish raise his wand, draw a few circles on it and then wave it forward.

"Expecto Patronum! Nya!"
