A.N.
Just to clear things up in case someone is confused, I mistakenly put two adjectives on Cass's long black hair in opposite way and some weird misplaced words here and there. I apologize because I'm not a native speaker and sometimes my brain is not functioning properly.
But to edit one chapter I have to press update button so it might annoy readers whom are waiting for my updates. I promise to edit the whole book once I'm done. Thank you for understanding.

Beomgyu's Pov
After a seemingly infinite loop of nauseous dreams that has been sucking the life out of me, a familiar female voice came across my weakening sense of hearing.
"Beomgyu!"
I opened my eyes and realized I was lying over a firm bed and someone's sleeping on the chair nearby. I couldn't recognize the woman's face because it was hidden behind the long strands of her black hair.
If I woke up to this on an eerie place, I would probably be jumping off the bed and running for my life. Thanks to the all-white plain walls and ceilings surrounding us and a generous amount of sunlight, I didn't panic at the sight.
Instead, I got curious because no matter how I look at her, the woman looks like she's sleeping. However, despite the head facing down, the body posture was somewhat too straight as if it's a mannequin.
I contemplated if I'm gonna wake her up or I'll just leave the room by my own. My head was still very heavy and my legs feel unresponsive.
But I have to call my mom at least to let her know I'm still alive after all the countless abuse I suffered from my neighbor for god knows how long.
I attempted to sit up but my lower body feels like a separate entity. I groaned and forced it, but to no avail.
"Good morning Beomgyu."
I instantly frowned at the owner of that familiar voice and got shocked that it was not just an imagination.
"W-what are you doing here?" I asked coldly. She looked confused at first but eventually smiled awkwardly.
"I… found you." She said hoarsely. After clearing her throat, she then explained how and what happened.
I had no idea I was being hidden because from what I recall, I was always been bedridden and the room was very much alike with my own.
Not some meter-wide cabinet space gap in between Mi Young's bedroom and the room next door.
Mi Young probably dragged me in there while I was drugged due to my unwavering resistance.
"I've been looking for you ever since." She continued and asked how I feel.
"I have to call my mom." I tried to move again but my fingers are not that strong enough to pull my whole weight upwards so that I can lean my back on the headrest.
"She's on her way." She quickly stood up to assist me. I pushed her hand away even if I didn't really mean it.
It was a reflex but I couldn't explain because what I've experienced this whole time is too embarrassing to share to anyone else especially her.
"I-I'm sorry." She apologized and broke the heavy atmosphere between us by offering to call the doctor to have me checked first.
Once the hospital staffs came in, she just stood there in the back, watching them compare my vitals and drawn blood samples from one of my already bruised skin, inside of the left elbow.
"Get this tested. And bring a new IV Drip." The male doctor handed a glass vials younger male nurse. He needs continuous supply in order to replenish his dehydrated body and counter the effects of the drugs used on him. "Don't worry Mr. Choi, we will do our best to bring you back to your best condition."
I only nodded but Cass interrupted our conversation by suggesting a more comfortable bed position.
"I'm sorry Mr. Choi. You aren't supposed to sit yet. However, we can recline the bed to your desired position until the numbness on your muscles subsides." He raised the upper half of the mattress and gave the remote to me. "If you need anything, you can call the nurse directly at the station using that phone on your right side."
The deafening silence after they left had me suffocated to the point I had no other choice but ask her to leave.
"I can't leave you alone." She said calmly but it sounded more of a firm decision.
"I'm in a hospital and for sure cops will arrive at any moment. Leave now before you get caught." I forced those words out of my drying throat but she just ignored my warning and offered me a bottled water from the personalized small fridge behind her.
"Don't worry. You have been asleep for three days now and they agreed to let you recuperate first, as suggested by the doctor himself. Most of the people in this town cares about you Beomgyu."
"Hmm. How ironic that my parents only thought of visiting me today." I scrutinized her whole face for any slightest reaction because I'm so tired of being entangled on a web of deceit.
"Your mom come here everyday." She temporarily went to the sofa located by the wall south my bed and brought a small paper-bag. "She told me to give you this."
I wondered what's inside but I refuse to give in. I'm still pissed at the fact that my own parents treat me anything other than a human being. Forcing their decisions to control my life the way they want it to be.
That's why I left and yet the very reason why I ran away ended up being the one to save me from my despair.
She opened it for me, showing three different snacks containing jellies and a piece of envelope with my name on it.
"Shall I read it for you?" She grinned. I grabbed the bag from her hand instead and hid it under the white blanket.
"Stop acting like you care." I spouted out of nowhere but I'm glad I finally let it out.
"But I do."
"Yeah. For the money of course."
To be continued…
