Diana POV
"Whoops, didn't mean to burn your body into a crisp there." I said as I brush myself off.
There is a pile of ashes in front of me that was from me accidently incinerating someone's body when I was holding their neck, that stupid 'drink' rally did enhanced my powers, I haven't really fought with a bit seriousness in a while.
I convinced my clanmates to take over for a while as I lure all of them to a remote building at the opposite direction of where Perseus headed, it's just an old and grey broken down building in the middle of nowhere on the first floor. I took my time to confirmed their numbers and then slowly lured them to the first floor once I sensed my brother was okay and coming after me.
But even though he could have arrived right away, he stayed away for a bit in order for them to not sense him and run away.
All of the demigods I sensed earlier came along with every sort of equipments, fire proof armor and all sort of accessories, I was quite impressed at their preparation to be honest, but they are really too weak despite the numbers, a good portion of them are nature spirits, mostly from the flame species.
Zeus really goes around and not discriminate races...well there are barely gnomes and dwarves, so I think he does have a certain preference. I tried leaving some alive, I really tried, but my flames just killed most of them despite their preparations, some tried to retreat, but I just create a rope out of flames and used magic to catch them and tied them up.
But my rope may have been both too tight or hot, because it went past just searing their flesh, it melt and cut their bodies in half. They tried physical attacks at first, but their hits just went through my body as it my body can switch between black flames and a regular human body, the former granting me an immunity from physical attacks, something that I have and my brother doesn't.
He can use magic to grant him a similar ability, but unlike him, I was born with this.
I killed more than half of the people here, turned a few into ashes by accident and the rest easily forfeit and gave themselves up by the time my brother arrived.
"Wow, how am I gonna submit them for experiments now, some of them no longer have a physical body...and those guys over there got their gut spilling out, they're not gonna have any blood to use." he complained
"Well, how was your short meeting?"
He then told me what the 2 gods offered, it honestly doesn't sound like a bad idea, and pissing my mother off by studying under the husband she left would be like constantly poking at her with a stick while saying 'are you annoyed yet?', weird analogy, but I'm sure that she will feel that way every single moment the day she find out. At least he went and changed for the better.
But my brother forgot one thing.
"Did they leave you a way to contact them?"
"Ah...that..." he definitely forgot to ask about it, didn't he?
"It's alright, now that we got their attention, we can just say a prayer and they'll easily hear us." he assured "I did that by call your twin the other day a bitch."
"Do you call everyone a bitch?"
"Yes, except I call you a witch sometimes, and remember that one deviant we killed, I called him a sackless coward since...you know."
Yes, we met a deviant other than Rex before, a big jerk that we needed to kill though since he was in charge of this spirits and beast folk slave trade. And as for why he was called that, it's as what the first word of his first name implied...yeah...
He apparently cheated on his wife and she found out, she threatened with divorce, he killed her, his daughter managed to get revenge by making him that and he killed her too...long story, but he's gone, so we're good.
"I also called Elliot a @#$&$*, Richard a @*#$&#**#, Cat a @)#*$(#*@-" he continued
"Alright, the readers get it, you cuss a lot." I stopped him before us fictional characters get wiped from the face of the planet
"It wasn't just a cuss, I insulted their pride and made sure to leave a good impression." he smiled "Alright, so you're accepting the deal, right?"
"Yes, so what about them, we literally talked about everything to them, leaving them alive isn't necessarily a good thing, the red jade is less important than our secrets."
"What about Lethe?" he said as he took out a small vial of the river water
"Oh, you maybe slightly smart after all."
We then easily made sure that they won't lose too much memory since if we do too much, it will mean we can extort less information about Zeus, we need everything we get, if Zeus really does plan on coming after us, reading books about him won't help much compared to information that we can get from his own child.
After that, Perseus called his assassins to pick the demigods up and give them to Rex and tasked them to clean all the mess up.

I got back to my job and when Valentina saw that, she ordered everyone away for a few minutes.
"So what happened with the god situation?" she asked
"Oh, your father came."
"My father...? I was born from the tree...oh...you mean one of our ancient deities." she realized "Barely anyone believe in seasonal gods anymore, to think that the legends of them giving birth to ideal royalties, which includes me somehow, is strange to think about."
"Yeah, you definitely don't fit the bill."
"You Silvers are more alike than you think, how does insulting someone naturally come off your tongue?" she asked
"No, I like to do it more subtly while he just let it all out."
"So, back on topic, what did the god want?"
"He was angry that Perseus got you pregnant and the other matter...hmm, let's just say we'll keep it a secret for now. Oh, by the way, when I met him on the way back, the Weaver called, he changed a bit of his request, so i hope you help pass on his request to the king of the faeries too."
