Chapter 122: So will I
Perseus POV
I let Lia handle the situation for more than 5 minutes just to see where her limits actually are, I think it's about 10 minutes now and she is just spending every second jumping around and focus all her magic on healing and boosting her speed.
She currently trying her best to deal damage with cutting them with her sword, but it's just dulling her blade at this point, the sword is more than good enough since it's of very good quality, she can cut them, but her techniques are questionable since she's depending more on the sword itself than her own strength, she's starting to panic which is understandable.
Should be enough by now, the monsters saw that I'm just watching and they wouldn't attack me since they know for a fact that I'm stronger than them, they lowered their guard.
"Hey!"
I shouted and sure enough, a few of the weak monsters turned, using that moment, Lia jumped onto their heads and jumped again at the king and slashed one of its eyes, causing it to hiss and roar in pain.
I then warped to her and carried her in my arms.
"You did pretty good for a first try, but you would have died without killing any of them though since you kinda suck."
"Make it up with a kiss after this, and end this shit fast, cuz I'm tired." she panted
"Sure, why not."
Cordelia POV
I didn't care about my vocabulary at this point, my English teacher would be so disappointed in me, but you know what, if Perseus taught me something, it's that sometimes doing things freely without a care sometimes is a good thing, I mean, he earned himself the number 1 rank, and partially wasted his time as a ranker with women, and now with the academy.
He placed me to rest nearby and healed me as he then took out his sword.
"Just watch, I'll show you the strength you need to reach in the future." He smiled and then disappeared in a flash.
The next second, almost all the serpent monsters got cut into several chunks as only 1 weak serpent and the king is left, they then tried to dig themselves away but Perseus summon out earth spikes and pierced them in place, he then cut off the tail of the weak one and let it escape through the tunnel to go up to where one of the farmers were.
"They would want their revenge, it's weak enough now." He commented as with the next flash of his hand, his bad severed the boss in half, he used magic to create this thin layer of barrier that cladded our body to protect us form the spraying blood.
He then warped to me and warped out of there to go upwards where the weak snake was losing a lot of blood as it tried to run away from the farmers who now got rifles out, the monster is soaked with oil and set ablaze, it wasn't long till it dropped dead meaning that our quest complete.
'Quest clear. Rewards are being calculated...'
'You have 5:00:00 to leave before the quest resets.'
"So how do we get the rare treasure thing from quests instead of dungeons?"
"Similar, we'll search the the main house, maybe it's a plate or a rug this time." he replied "We'll then turn those in to the clan to sell and we'll head home and sleep."
"Where's my kiss?"
"Greedy, aren't cha? Wait till we get the treasures at least, I'll give you one then,"

Perseus POV
I got a call from my sister the moment I turned in the treasures we got from the recent quest, it wasn't a lot but it'll earn us good money at the very least. She told me how she went to the admins searching for clues, Zeus' spawns would now try to avenge their sibling, at this point, I'm gonna hunt for loads and be a total shut in, the moment I see a demigod, I might just eliminate them on site at this point.
"Hey little brother, you're back." Zach said as he greeted me "You sure gave your sister a ton of work when you got revealed."
"Well you 2 shouldn't have gone to whatever journey you did, and don't call me your little brother, that privilege is for my sister and someone who somehow qualifies to be my sister's spouse...or spouses."
"You are literally known to our clan as everyone's younger brother cuz you're the youngest, you can't escape your fate."
"Don't try to touch my shoulder please, I don't want to risk being turned to gold."
"You say that as if you can't just use your magic to cancel it out."
"It's a pain to do so since I have my limiter on, it's a pain to be strong, anyway, keep a lookout for some jade, I'm interested in them."
"Oh?" he chuckled as if he realized something "Both you and your sister requested of the same thing...does this mean I should do this and help you guys in private?"
"Preferably so, on serious note, I don't want insignificant regular expensive high class jewelry type of jade, watch for the special ones, you'll understand it yourself if you stumble upon it."
"I'll keep it in mind." He replied "Anyway, our new guild member of yours is asleep in the main lobby, you can just get a free room from the staff for our hotel, and use protection if she wakes up and feels really energetic."
What is it with people and their stupid fantasies these days, I can't go a day without hearing these things. Anyway, I went to pick up the sleeping Lia and slung her over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
I then warped back to the dorm, tuck her back to sleep and went to the academy where there was barely anyone there to place some equipments that I may need in the future and set some traps for my upcoming enemies, they're going to come prepared and so will I.
