Chapter 55: Are you trying to make me faint?!

3rd person POV

"Oh he was serious about that." Richard muttered after he saw the true rankings and the ranked tattoo on the sibling faces.

<But 'Weaver of Calamity'?> he thought <The nicknames given aren't random, what did he do to earn such a nickname, whatever it is, it's definitely not good to have yourself associated with a calamity.>

Elliot on the other hand almost faint again.

<Both of them are ranked?!" he thought <And when they're both younger than the human age of 30?! Not just that...even though the admins tend to be friendly and approachable to us of the top 13, never have there been a case of them willing to hide one's true power to this level.>

"Well, we'll help you guys in a bit after we do our part, shouldn't take too long though." Diana said before she and Perseus warped in front of the forest and stood guard there to wait for the beasts.

While Emma on the other hand was questioning so many of her decisions right up till now.

"So this is one of his other secrets..." she pondered allowed and turned to Cordelia "Don't tell your family this, your mother may have realized it, but even then, don't bring it up to them yet, it seems that we are the ones who get to see the true rankings exclusively if Perseus is willing to show it."

"Why does everyone know about my mother's gift, but me?" Cordelia sighs in frustration

On the other hand, back in the human world, Marella Laguna is engaging in her painting hobby as she was home alone with a glass of wine in her hand. She is also surrounded by a lot o finished paintings around her

But it was no ordinary paintings on the canvases, it is a picture of the events happening around her daughter and Perseus so far, the picture of their second kiss, Perseus dueling against Brennan and so much more.

But the current picture is a facial portrait of Perseus' face, it had one gold eye and one silver eye and...black hair. She painted him with a serious and condescending look.

"It should be right about time that my naïve daughter find out about my powers." she giggled to herself "That Perseus though...I was already shocked when I found out about him being the 11th ranked, even more with his actual rank."

<Well, he was always sort of an enigma.> she thought <It took me years just to be able to glimpse into his past and get only short visions, as for his future, a few minutes at most, and even then, he mostly comes out with a different result, a guy who always goes against his own fate.>

Perseus casted the 2 spells once the beast are within striking distance and his appearance started to change. His clothing started to turn into this dark grey suit and a black cloak draped over him while his hair changed into black. His hair also started to slowly turn black as his eyes changed to gold and silver.

"Scram!" he shouted and only the weakest of the best of their side ran away due to the fear from his order.

It caused a bit of a disorder as about 1/10 of the beasts turn backward and tried to retreat only to either get mercilessly stomped to death or did the very same to a few of the ones at the back.

<Flames of extinction> Diana casted

And the whole forest grounds exploded with flames erupting from the ground to incinerate anything and everything in sight. The others look at the 2 with amazement and astonishment as their powers clearly skyrocketed beyond their imagination.

But Elliot and Richard got an even better perspective on it as they are both saints of the admins, Perseus' powers are beyond their calculation and surpassed even the hardest of floor bosses. In fact, both of their presence on the battlefield emitted a terrifying aura.

Once the flames went away it was clear to everyone that 1/3 of the beasts did not escape with their lives as the others suffered gruesome injuries. Diana then put her hands up in the air and snapped her fingers causing thousands of flaming spears to appear in the air.

She brought it down and they all came down with the wave of her arm.

<The intensity of those flames...they're similar to Ezio.> Richard thought <Luckily he brought me and Elliot, we can at least keep all this a secret.>

They all then focused on their part of the job ignoring Perseus and Diana who are clearly eliminating the beasts at a super fast pace, and their movements as well...it's really well coordinated as Perseus and Diana worked really well together, you can tell that they have worked a lot to get that level of bond and trust without even having to worry about what's on your back and not needing to even turn back.

Perseus POV

<Death parade> I casted

The dead beasts whose corpse are still on the field all then got pulled up by magic as if they're rising from the dead. Black mana filled their body parts that got blown away or erased.

They then rose to fight back against their former allies, they're all ready dead, this spell doesn't necessary revive them, it's more like I'm controlling them like a marionette.

The beasts aren't the one who forced us to go all out like this, we did only because...it seems like whoever sent this attack had someone to control the pack, those guys are some guys who only the top 13 can handle and on this one, someone only me and Diana can handle together.

We fought our way through the crowd and reached these pack leaders or whatever, there are 5 of them.

"Who the hell send you freaks?"

"Well that's arrogant coming from the guy whose power mostly come from his mommy and daddy." the middle taunted as the other laughed

He's this large minotaur about 3m tall, he has a white bulls head, golden horns, a super muscular human upper body with a bull's lower half, he wore a olden armor with no crest or symbols to represent whoever sent him. He's much stronger than Brennan.

"Well either way, I just want to know who I have to put on my hit list, but it seems like I'm just gonna have to kill you for it."
