CHAPTER SEVENTY-SIX

"I don't want to wait; I want to spend the rest of my life with you as soon as possible. What do you say?"

I stared at him back and stretched my lips into a smile as I nodded my head. "Yes, I don't want to wait either. I love you so much Max, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." We rested our foreheads together as we shared the same grin before kissing each other passionately.

A cry from the baby monitor made us pull away and I looked at the nightstand, the video on the baby monitor showing a crying Rebekah who was standing in her crib, the slats supporting her weight.

My eyes shot toward the window, and I frowned when the rain droplets ran down the window. I turned to look at Max who looked at the baby monitor. "Is she doing that?" I asked Max who turned to look at me.

"I don't know, maybe." He shrugged, "Come on, let's go." We got dressed and of course I had to wear something else because Max broke my dress and went to the nursery room. "Hi daddy's angel, what's wrong?"

Max picked her up and she instantly stopped crying and leaned her head on Max chest, like always two fingers in her mouth as she sucked on them, her big golden eyes staring back at me.

I leaned my head on Max shoulder and brushed her face softly. "Sh, it's okay sweetheart." I brushed her hair back as I smiled at her and leaned down to kiss her forehead. She whimpered quietly and tried to reach for me, and I took her over.

"These boys are troublemakers! They broke the pillows on the living room sofa." My mother came in with Maxim and Maximilian in wolf form, their ears flat as they gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"These two are going to be the death of me." I said with a sigh as I stared at them with a shook of a head. Max took them over from my mother and ordered their wolves to shift back. "You two are in so much trouble."

Not understanding the word trouble or anything I just said they giggled at me. "Don't giggle, I'm not playing." They both curled into Max arms as I poked them on their ribs. "Oh, so you're abandoning me now for your dad?"

I told Rebekah as she reached over for Max, visibly jealous because of her brothers being with Max. "Da-da." I widened my eyes when she talked and looked at Max to see that what I heard was real or just part of my imagination.

"What did you say?" Max asked her as he looked at her astonished and Rebekah leaned back in my arms, her fingers going into her mouth. "Tell daddy what you just said." Max tried to convince her as he took her fingers out of her mouth.

"Da-da!" She said excitedly with a toothless grin and hands clapping as she bounced in my arms. Her face was just priceless. She's such a daddy's girl.

"Yes, I'm your da-da." Max leaned forward and kissed her, her hands touching Max cheeks as she filled Max lips with drool, but he didn't seem to mind. We heard a flash and turned around to see my mother with a camera in her hands.

"The moment was just priceless, I couldn't help it." My mother said with a smile. "I remember when I had you four, you all are grown up now. Time flies and before you know it you're getting old and your babies are getting married."

"Aw, mom." I went toward her and pulled her into a tight hug, my hand moving up and down her back as I held Rebekah in the other arm. "You're making me melancholic too." I pulled away from her and bounced Rebekah in my arm.

"We want to marry tomorrow." I turned to look at Max with an incredulous look on my face and turned back to look at my mother. "We want to marry as soon as possible." I shot him a glare again, but he only grinned at me.

"What?! Are you two out of your mind? Tomorrow? We need a priest, we need to send invitations, we need music, we need food, we need...." My mother kept rambling on and off and I put my hand over her mouth.

"We don't care, we can have just a little ceremony here with just the pack members, we don't need to make something big. The backyard is perfect for the wedding ceremony, we can let the pack members decorate the backyard. Why think big if everything we need is right here?"

My mother sighed and looked at us not convinced. "Fine." We sighed in relief but exhaled deeply when she said but, there is always something bad after but. "Max got to go." I turned to look at Max and raised my shoulders at him.

"Sorry baby, but you got to go." He sighed deeply but nodded his head in agreement. "We'll see each other tomorrow anyways. Don't you dare change your mind!" I scolded at him playfully and he grinned.

"Nah, I'm in too deep already. I can't change my mind even if I wanted to." My jaw dropped at that, and I pinned my lips together when he chuckled amused. "Kidding, you know I love you right?" He tried to make amends and I shook my head at him with a stuck of a tongue. "I know you love me anyways."

"You wish, I'm only marrying you for the sake of our children." His playfully posture changed this time, and it was my turn to chuckle at him amused. "Kidding, you know I love you right?" He rolled his eyes at me and muttered a 'yeah-yeah' underneath his breath.

"How about you two take a family photo?" My mother suggested and I looked up at Max who shrugged. "I can take it." We stood next to each other with our babies and smiled for the camera. "1,2,3." The camera flashed as my mother took the photo. "Another one."

The camera flashed again before my mother leaned the camera down. "You five look so cute on the photos." My mother showed us and I awed at the pictures, it was so heart whelming. "Look, there you are Becks."

My mother pointed at her on the photo, and she smiled toothless at my mother. "Da-da." My mother looked at her in shock and then back at us to see if what she heard was indeed true. We nodded our heads at her, and I leaned down to kiss her forehead.

"She said da-da, aw. She's such a daddy's girl already. I remember when you were like Rebekah, you were such a daddy's girl back then and still is." I smiled at her in some way sad but at the same time happy, sad because of my dad and happy because what she said was true.

I am still a daddy's girl even though he wasn't here anymore.

I was playing with the kids on the play mat when I heard someone coming in and turned around to face Max, my eyes shifting on his things in the doorway. "Your mother kicked me out so." He rubbed the back of his neck as he looked down at me.

I turned back around to look at the kids that were whining, mostly Maxim and Maximilian for the same toy. "You're going now?" I asked him as I gave Maxim another car, turning to look back at him.

"Yes, I finished settling a couple of things with your mother for tomorrow." Max replied back and I nodded my head, looking at Rebekah who was playing with a ball with a bell in it that was making loud noises.

"Don't eat it, it's not dinner." I smiled at her as I removed the ball from her mouth, putting it back in her hands. "They're taking everything straight into their mouths." I sighed. "I don't want them to gulp pointy things."

"Don't worry about it, it's just a baby thing. We just have to be cautiously." Max said and I exhaled deeply as I pushed myself up, fixing my sundress. "I'll go now, remember. I'll be the one in a tux, looking handsome like always."

I rolled my eyes at him and sneaked my arms around his neck as we swayed side to side before, he pulled me into a tight hug, kissing me on my lips. "Of course, and I'll be the beautiful girl walking down the aisle in a gorgeous white dress."

"You don't need a white dress to look gorgeous." He muttered against my lips, and I smiled widely, my hands brushing his hair back. "Hmm, your lips feel so good on mine. Do I really have to go?"

"Yes, now say goodbye to your babies." I kissed him passionately before pulling away from him, my hands lingering on his arms as he walked toward the play mat and kneeled on it. Rebekah let the ball fall from her hands and crawled toward Max.

"Da-da." I think that that, is her favorite word to say. She gets so excited when she sees Max, it was just priceless. Max picked her up and wiggled her as he lifted her up, her giggles filling our ears as Max swayed her around like she was a plane.

"Give da-da a goodbye kiss." Max leaned her down and pecked her lips, wiggling her as he put her back down. Maxim and Maximilian were too busy playing to pay attention to Max. He kissed their foreheads and let them play as he stood up. "Now give daddy a kiss."

I scoffed at him with a roll of an eye and shook my head. "You're impossible." But caved in anyways, he will forever be the death of me.
