Long Ren showed her several other simple games he remembered just to pass a bit more time.
From hand chopsticks to tic-tac-toes, he spewed everything out. Well, as much as the time allows him to.
Understandably, Yun Ning didn't enjoy all of them.
Hand chopsticks, for one, is just a simple solved game, in which she finished right after their first playthrough.
Tic-tac-toe is a bit better but still turned boring after a while.
Long Ren wondered whether he needed to improve upon everything he remembered from earth to match his new cultivator status.
Otherwise, everything would just turn obsolete. Nothing fun in (basically) always having cheat codes on.
"Anything else?" Yun Ning asked while crumpling the paper they drew on into dust.
Long Ren shook his head, "Not without making props,". He turned his head only to be greeted by Yun Ning's stare. "What..?"
Yun Ning looked him straight into his eyes, trying to pry his secrets, "Where did you get all these games from?"
"Uhh…" Long Ren scratched his cheek and plastered a wry smile. He can't just tell her he's from another world, can he?
Well, maybe later. But definitely not now.
"I'm just…creative?" He said, even a bit unsure himself.
*Stare~~* (fbi chicken stare)
"Ugh…stop, you're tearing a hole in my head…" Long Ren's smile twitched as he pleaded to stop her stare.
Yun Ning gave him one last stare to finally end her onslaught, "Mn hehe…okay then," She relented.
She just finds his unique pool of knowledge a bit intriguing. Making him uncomfortable just for it isn't worthed.
Though, seeing his helpless expression does have its own unique charm. She kinda liked it.
Long Ren heaved a sigh of relief and slumped back.
He won't know what to say had she prodded deeper, thankfully, she's not that pushy.

"Sold! To our esteemed customer in room 6 for 76 diamonds!" Yue'er clasps her hands in delight.
Even though the clap didn't appear to be very loud, it reverberated throughout the entire auction house.
Her attendant brought the item backstage, and the atmosphere around Yue'er quickly became solemn.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. We have reached the tail-end of our decennial auction…" She said, her voice a bit low.
She shifted her gaze between the present guests. From one hidden nook to the next. None seemed to be able to escape her fixed gaze.
"Our last item could be our biggest haul yet," she revealed, drawing gasps from the audience.
For the item to be regarded so highly by the independent auction house. What kind of caliber must this item be?
The lights around dimmed until only her surroundings remained clearly seen.
She tapped her shoes twice. Its clear crisp aftermath pierced everyone's ears.
"Let me introduce you to..."
From the stage, a small podium rose. Its color was pure white, contrasting with its surroundings as it glowed in the dim light of the hall.
Atop the podium stood an opened scroll. A scroll unlike any other.
Its distinct sealed pressure broke out as everyone in the audience sensed its radiance.
So ancient yet futuristic. Its exterior was ripped, but the interior is pristine and free of cuts.
Its color shifted every so often. As if looking through a prism, a better prism. Any color they could think of instantly matched it.
"[Scroll of Myriad Prisms]"
…
…
The whole audience left themselves baffled as they tried to comprehend what they were witnessing.
Even those in private rooms and VIP booths were left agape, unsure what to make of the item.
Seeing the quiet audience, Yue'er continued, "This scroll suddenly appeared on our radar just a few weeks ago. A scroll of unknown origin yet holds such great power.
As many esteemed guests may have realized, its radiance overwhelmed even the highest of Sky-realm cultivators' aura.
It is something even we have yet to comprehend." She said. Her words trailed off strong, enunciating her final words sharp.
If the auction house hasn't figured out its secrets yet, the treasures may still be within their grasp.
Of course, that assumes there is a treasure hidden deep within the scroll. And then there's the matter of them deciphering it. A costly gamble, so to say.

*Stare~~*
Yun Ning looked at Long Ren's serious gaze. He kept staring at the scroll as if something had enchanted him.
"What's the matter?" She asked.
"Hmm…" Long Ren murmured. He took away his gaze and met Yun Ning's stare, "I feel like I've seen that scroll before."
Yun Ning looks at him in surprise, "Really?"
"Mnn hm, Can't remember where tho," He said, scratching his head, trying to recoup his memories.
"How'd you forget such a powerful scroll?" Yun Ning asked. Anyone who comes into contact with this pressure should not be able to forget it; it is too unique to be forgotten.
Long Ren shrugged, "I don't think it exudes such pressure before…"
"Mnn…" Yun Ning mumbled. If Long Ren somehow knew of its origins and uses, then that could be a deal breaker.
By then, they simply need to contact their masters in order to bid on and acquire it.
…
"The bid starts at 50 diamonds!" Yue'er started the bid, not waiting for Long Ren to recoup his memories.
"55!"
"60!"
"Peng Clan bids 100!" A young man with tied-up bun hair immediately exclaimed from his seat, harrumphing and snorting wildly as multiple of his goons cheered on.
He was injured, his arm looks a bit deformed but that did not halt him from blatantly pronouncing his status.
Nose held up high, hand crossed over his chest. Even one of his legs stood upon a commoner's seat, forming a grand pose…as grand as an ugly-looking, deformed guy can be, at least.
Everyone looked awed at his bid and blatant show of power. At least show some respect to the auction house, you're practically trampling on their property!
Luckily for him, another VIP took his spotlight away immediately after, bidding 110 diamonds.
He fumed, he can't even relish his pose for a bit! Who dares! And so starts the bidding war of him against the world.
…
"Oh, I remember that guy," Long Ren exclaimed, plopping his fist on his open palm as he watched Peng Clan's deformed young master outbidding his opponents.
He could almost see the guy's spit flow out every time he bid a higher number, much to the dismay of the commoners sitting in front of him.
"Who's he?" Yun Ning asked, enjoying the ongoing show as much as everyone else did. It's not every day you get to see multiple young masters fighting against one another.
"Just a guy I saved from an annoying tiger," Long Ren recalled of his time with Nid. A hint of melancholy lurked beneath his words, hidden but still very much present.
Suddenly, a light bulb appeared above his face, "Oh…oh…" He muttered, only to laugh out loud the very next second, "Ha…HA…HAHAHA,"
He hunches his body, trying to hold his stomach back so as to not fall from the sofa. It might possibly be the funniest coincidence he had ever encountered in both lives combined.
Yun Ning looked confused, she wanted to laugh with him but she didn't know for what. She feels a bit awkward right now.
Long Ren cleared his eyes off of a teardrop as he calmed himself down, just a little though, seeing him still giggling every so often and that,
"Ok…ok, you ready for this?" He said with quite a bit of excitement as he looked at Yun Ning. He can't wait to share it with someone else. Yun Ning only nodded, still a bit confused, but better.
Long Ren snapped his fingers, forming a dome to conceal his words from the outside. Although the chance of someone successfully eavesdropping on the room is quite low, better be safe than sorry.
He brought himself closer to Yun Ning's ear and whispered…
