Qin Yan changed?

Qin Yan looked over at Qin Muran. Though her words were filled with worry and curiosity, Qin Yan understood that she was trying to make her look like a liar. All her acquaintances were in private room, so which friend was she talking about? Obviously she is lying.

As expected, hearing Qin Muran's words, Qin Yicheng's expression darkened. He glanced at Qin Yan expecting her answer.

Qin Yan smiled sarcastically at Qin Muran, "Sister, I don't have to tell you about every friend I make, right? Also, I will not consider the people who accompanied us to the meal as acquaintances anymore. I hope you understand why."

Qin Yicheng looked sullenly towards Qin Muran while Lu Yaran frowned at Qin Yan, wondering what was wrong with her. Qin Yan seemed to have changed. She didn't understand what went wrong but noticing the changes in Qin Yan, she felt extremely uncomfortable.

Qin Muran then said sadly, "Sister, please don't mind our friends. They were just joking with you. They didn't mean to offend or harm you in any way. If you felt bad, I will apologize to you in their stead."

"So tripping someone and making fun of their fall is joking! Sister, you are really forgiving, but I am not," Qin Yan said coldly.

"Yan Yan, is this the way to speak to your sister?" Lu Yaran reprimanded softly.

Qin Yan looked at her mother and seeing her eyes filled with disgust, said callously, "Mom, I didn't think I said anything wrong. Anyway I am not asking sister to break her friendship with those people. I am speaking for myself. I think I should have the right to decide my friends. Is there anything wrong with that?"

Before Lu Yaran could retort, Qin Yicheng ordered, "Okay, enough of this nonsense. Since Yan Yan is home, Let's rest now. Everyone go back to your rooms now."

Everybody retired to their rooms. Qin Yan was so tired after this whole fiasco that without even showering, she directly went to bed. She was not in the mood to think about anything else and she left all the thinking to the next day.

*

The morning breeze blew, and the crystal clear dewdrops slid down the leaves and jumped cheerfully. The green grass woke up under the gentle morning light, and it looked greener under the shower of rain and dew.

There was a magnificent morning glow in the east. The moist wind swept gently, and came in from the glass window, squinting at everything, and quietly leaving.

Light daylight occupied every corner, giving the room a white color of dreams. A few little birds screamed crisply at the window, and the sound awakened Qin Yan.

Opening her eyes, Qin Yan realized that whatever happened yesterday was not a dream. She had truly transmigrated. As it was early in the morning, she had time to digest everything.

She also needed to plan her actions further from now. Her past life was over but she didn't intend to leave it behind. She had to find out who assassinated her and also their reason behind it. In addition to this, she had to do justice to the host whose body she was in.

Qin Yan got up from the bed and glanced at her bedroom. The bedroom was a tiny one styled simply. The furniture and the room complemented each other with colours of lavender and white. It gave a gentle vibe to the viewer. It was neither overly bright nor excessively gloomy.

Nothing was out of place; the books all neatly side by side in alphabetical order on the shelf, some cosmetic products kept on the dressing table with a study table placed near the window.

As Qin Yan went towards the dressing table, she saw her new appearance for the first time. No wonder people called her ugly. She had an almost round body which looked like it was swollen. Her face was tanned and covered in acne and acne marks. There was not a place on her face which was clear. Her hair looked oily and she could see her scalp between her few hair strands.

The only good thing she noticed about her appearance was her extremely lively eyes. Her eyes were clear and without any malice. If someone were to look into her eyes, their whole world would turn bright. But as the host always held her head low, nobody noticed her eyes.

Looking at her eyes, Qin Yan smiled. When she saw her smile, she was surprised to notice a pair of dimples. When she smiled, she looked extremely adorable. Only then did she realize that her facial features were also very exquisite. If she lost weight and got rid of acne, she would definitely be drop dead gorgeous. For this, she had to find out the cause of her flaws. Moreover, she had to train this body so that she could practice martial arts.

Just as she was about to leave for freshening up, she noticed a red jade pendent on her neck. Looking at the pendent, she was shocked. In her previous incarnation, she had coincidentally picked up such a phoenix-shaped red jade. Although she had no idea about its authenticity, she kept it because of her fondness for it.

This was the only thing common between her two incarnations, so Qin Yan suspected that it must have something to do with her transmigration.

But she didn't know anything further, so she didn't ponder over it and went to freshen up.

After freshening up, Qin Yan wore a lemon yellow dress and descended to the living room.

She saw Qin Yicheng on the sofa reading a newspaper and Qin Muran with a book in her hand. Lu Yaran had prepared the breakfast as she came to living room to invite the father daughter duo to dining room.

Lu Yaran saw Qin Yan descending the stairs, "Yan Yan, why are you up so early?" she asked in a gentle tone.

"I have some work today so I plan to leave early," Qin Yan smiled. She wanted to visit the hospital to take a look at the little bun.

"Okay, come and have breakfast first. Then you can leave," Lu Yaran reminded her.

With that, the whole family sat on the dining table. Lu Yaran had prepared a sumptous meal as per the saying that "Breakfast should be done like a king".*

But Qin Yan noticed a bowl of plain soup placed in front of her. She soon realised that other items were for rest of them and she only had to drink the soup. As she searched for the memories of the original owner, she understood that Lu Yaran would give her this soup daily in the morning as she was supposedly on her diet to lose weight.

She, thus brought the bowl nearer to her and just as she was about to take a sip, she frowned.

*There is a saying that breakfast should be eaten like a king, lunch like a common man and dinner like beggar to stay healthy.

Something's definitely wrong!
