im just saying that stuff because i know making a completely OC world will be hard, what im saying is, use aspects from other fiction and take it as your own and twist it up. for example the "Tower of God webtoon" you can make a modern day world and then slam this tower onto the planet and humans can enter and "NPC or Humans/demihumans/beasts/demons" can exit the tower to live, this plot has been used before but its always good in my experience. just throwing out ideas
I think you are right with the idea of game worlds not being used as much as some popular anime so I will definitely incorporate some games later on in the story and im thinking to use the shop as more of a tool to help the population of the world, of course, the mc will use it to get stronger in the early parts but in the later parts, it's going to be like a gift from god.
yeah OC worlds are definitly the way to go. everyone already knows to basic anime worlds. but here is my advice. when it comes to making a world, game worlds tend to be much more fleshed out and have alot more lore to work off of, not to mention they are almost never used, dark souls series being my favorite and elden ring of course and bloodborne, all of these can be used to make a world, mash them up into some world. this way its much easier to make a world (any game world not dark souls). or you can use anime which is honestly getting stale but you could use other anime that aren't used much, who knows. mashups are fun though thats all i know
