Chapter 11

Ahh...Why do I keep finding myself in these types of situations?

Goraning, I rub my aching head, hoping to ease the throbbing pain. Sitting up, well trying to sit up using my right hand, I jerk back from the suddent pain. Looking down, is a symbol, unique in its own right, and mysterious to me. The symbol is a big circle with two square overlapping each other, with a eight small circles at each point. In each circle is a different sign, and within each small triangle is a different sign as well. And in the top is a sun, as it goes down the side of the bug circle on both sides are the phases of the day going to the full moon.

Overall, it looks beautiful, so much that I can't believe that it's on me. Getting acquainted to the pain, I ease up, onto my feet. Between the groan I made, and the noises of me getting up, it's only right that someone heard, to be exact, a maid heard. Standing in the doorway, a very shocked maid, holding a small tub of water. Suddenly, she drops the water and runs away, yelling for someone to come here.

Shrugging, I walk to the bathroom but paise upon seeing myself. No long do i have a normal human appearance with a little glowing skin. Now I have shocking white hair, with different color highlights, my eyes a midnight black, and two sets of fangs, the longer pair, biting into my plump lips. The glowing skin has turned almost etheral instead. Breaking out of my trance, bath is forgotten when Silas rams himself into my hip, almost as if he's trying to merge us together.

"Woah! You miss me that much," i chuckle. "I wasn't gone that long."

"You were gone for a whole month," he retorts, snuggling deeper into me. " Of course I've missed you."

Thats more words than I thougt was possible for him to say all at once, much less tell me how he feels. A bit shocked, I kneel down," Then I'm sorry for making you worried. I bet Katerine help you feel less worried though."

". . . Yeah, she made all the nightmares go away," he mummbles, ears turning a fiercy red.

"Still shy I see," i smile, ruffling his head.

"Yes, our son is," Katherine agrees, standing in the dorrway. Silas' ear burn brighter, his cheeks getting red as well,as he turn his face away hiding from my glaze.

"What's happened while I've been sleep? I never expected to be gone for a month. "

"Nothing really, Dear. However, I do need to talk to you, sooner rather than later," Katherine admits, her head tiled down. Silas pulls away from me and leaves, not saying a word.

Weird.

"Also the first Trial is a month away. We need to get you prepared, faster thzn before, and hopefully with the awakening of your powers, things will be much easier than before."

"That's good," I start. "Let me get ready, and I'll be down soon. I'm quite hungry if I do say so myself."

Katherine nods, and with that, leaves me to clean myself up.

It doesn't take me long, even when I decide to soak, letting the hot water turn lukewarm before getting out. I dress in a white T-shirt--that stretches, barely containing my muscles--, black sweats, black sock, and black running shoes. I walk out the room, a breath of freshness clings to me, as I make my way through the halls.

" Ah! Dear, food is ready to be served," Katherine smiles. Taking a sit, with Silas to my right and Katherine right across from us, servants begin to place down the food. But the delicous-smelling food isn't what catches my attention, it;s the servants themselves. That burning comes back to me, and i choke, unprepared for the feeling. It hits me deep in my guts, wrenching a groan from me.

My eyes burn red, saliva pooling in my mouth. I don't notice that I've gotten uo and is holding a servant--male-- against the wall, about to feast on him. His blood calls to me, pumping fast through him, and i just want a taste. That first sip of blood that cools my throat is enough for me to realize what is happening. I jerk back, sorry for what I did, putting the man down. He holds his neck, blood dripping from the wound, fear clear in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry," I apologize, hands shaking. the urge is still cleary there, but I fight against it, not wanting to lose control.

"Dear, the healers will heal him. He'll be fine, i promise," Katherine assured, leading me back to the table.

Silas doesn;t look up, eating his fill as if this is normal.

"Has this happened before," I ask.

"Usually newborns have trouble for the first year that they're turned, but you two don't seem to have those problems, however there maybe factors that may alter those results," Katherine admits. "I'll explain later, but for now, I'll take your bloodthirst, but still drink blood,"

I nod, then dig into the food, but it look less appetizing than before. I still eat my fill, following Katherine instructions. The day was not eventful, only with me training with Mr.Kyro to gage my skills now. Pridefully, I can say that Mr.Kyro seemed surprized himself and even gave small praise for my accomplishment.

In using my new magic, we--being Katherine, Mr.Kyro, Silas, and I-- learned that I have the ability to use dark magic, although, someting tells me that, that's only the surface of my power. The day contiunes with Katherine making small talk, however the tension she holds is heavily noticeable. Silas is more quiet when she's around, but he isn't hostile towards her which is good in its own right.

I just wish I knew what the hell I missed?
