[: 3rd POV :]
"How high is my realm?" Daniel repeated Elizabeth's question.
Even Zuke, who didn't dare to question his cultivation base, was curious as well.
At least in his eyes, Daniel's cultivation realm should be in the Transcendent Realm or even much higher.
"How about the young miss try to guess?" Daniel smiled mysteriously.
"Hmm...is it the Transcendent Realm...?" Elizabeth tried to guess.
However, her answer was wrong, and Daniel shook his head.
"Could it be...the Ascended Realm?" Elizabeth answered once more.
But the thought of the man in front of them reaching the Ascended Realm sent shivers down their spines.
After all, it's unheard of for someone young like Daniel to achieve such a realm.
Moreover, it would also explain why he was able to kill the Transcendent Beast with a strike of his sword intent.
However, Elizabeth's answer was wrong once again.
"That's wrong. Try to guess again," Daniel chuckled.
Both Zuke and his daughter were greatly stunned by his rejection.
For them, the Ascended Realm is already a prestigious realm to have at his age.
If it's higher than that, then his existence would be terrifying.
'Even if I want to call it a lie, the fact that he killed the beast easily is proof itself,' Zuke thought.
He didn't believe Daniel was lying, but it was hard for him to accept that he might have a cultivation realm above Ascended.
It wasn't out of jealousy, but rather, the concept of it.
"Is...it the Ancestral Realm...?" The minute she mentioned that realm, her body shivered.
Even Zuke, who was observing and listening, couldn't help but sweat.
'There's no reason for him to lie since he could kill me with just a move...but...could he really have reached the Ancestral Realm?' Zuke thought.
For both of them, the Ancestral Realm was far beyond what they could hope to achieve.
The Ancestral Realm is where cultivators could tear the void and travel miles away with just a step.
If Daniel had reached that realm, then it would be terrifying.
"That's wrong," Daniel chuckled and answered.
He could see that both of them were shivering at the idea of it.
However, if it was wrong, then what was his cultivation?
"It's wrong...?" Elizabeth muttered in disbelief.
"Then...is it—" Before she could question, Daniel stopped her.
"How about I answer your question another time, and we're almost reaching our destination," Daniel said.
As Elizabeth gazed outside the window of the carriage, the sight of the city could be seen within kilometres.
Since Daniel didn't want to answer her question right now, Elizabeth no longer pursued her curiosity.
Otherwise, she felt it would be rude for her to pester.
"You're right. We're almost there," she said with an expectant smile.
As they were getting nearer to the city, Elizabeth noticed a strange commotion happening outside the city.
"Father, it seems like Uncle and his soldiers are outside the city," she pointed out with her fingers.
"Ah, you're right. It must be due to the fact that we requested reinforcements earlier on."
Only then did Zuke remember that he had ordered his guards to call for backup.
"The Tristan Spear Force will set out to help the King and the princess! We shall kill every beast!"
The leader of the reinforcement declared with killing intent in his eyes.
Earlier on, he had received a request for reinforcement.
In the end, he managed to gather a force of 100 soldiers.
Those 100 soldiers were the most powerful he could find within the city.
Each of their cultivation ranks is not less than the 10th Stage of the Mortal Rank.
There were dozens at the 1st stage or higher of the Foundation Rank, and the one leading the main force possessed the 7th Stage of the Foundation Rank.
After the carriage had stopped a certain distance away from the entrance of the city, Zuke went to approach them.
"You're a little bit late, Luke," Zuke claimed as he approached the leader of the main force, who was also his brother.
"Eh? Brother!?" Luke recognized and was familiar with the voice.
"What're you doing here, brother? I thought you needed our help, so what's going on?"
Luke was confused by the situation.
He believed that his brother was in a dire state and needed reinforcement; however, he appeared to be fine with no injuries or any hints of wounds, and that greatly baffled him.
"Yeah, we indeed needed your help," Zuke said. "But," he paused for a while before explaining, "a high-cultivator Master has helped us out."
"A high-realm cultivator? Who is it, brother?" Luke was curious about the identity.
"Let's talk about it later, and we need to thank him for saving us," Zuke said.
Eventually, the carriage where Daniel was in had entered the city, and the force that Luke had gathered had dispersed.
It was a confusing moment for him.
But since Zuke had explained the reason briefly, he was glad that nothing happened to him as well as to Elizabeth.
At the same time, Luke realized that even if he had arrived at the scene to help, it would all be too late.
Hence, he was grateful towards the master who had helped them.
Half an hour later, Daniel was brought inside the mansion where Zuke lives.
"This may not be much, but I hope it'll satisfy you, young master," Zuke courteously poured tea.
Without further ado, Daniel took the tea and drank it.
"This is not bad; it's good tea," he complimented, which made Zuke delighted by his words.
"So correct me if I'm wrong, but you're the King of this city?" Daniel curiously asked.
"That's right, young master," Zuke answered.
"I see, then, it makes things easier for me," Daniel said.
"?" Zuke was clueless about his words.
Moreover, he wasn't alone; Elizabeth was sitting right beside him while Daniel was in their opposite.
"What do you mean, young master...?" Zuke asked curiously.
"Well, since you're a king, there's something that you can help me with. Are you willing?" Daniel smiled towards Zuke.
"Of course, young master! I'll do anything that the young master wants within my limits!"
Zuke was keen on fulfilling whatever tasks Daniel had for him.
Moreover, he believed that helping him would increase their relationship.
After all, maintaining a friendly relationship with Daniel has its own advantages and benefits.
